I hope Drew Brees will sign with miami

Again, give him an ultimatum....either you play for this much....or walk......end of story.

I think its pretty obvious he wants Miami. If not, he'd have signed in NO by now. I think the longer he waits, the more he shows how bad he wants Miami. Hopefully his agent won't convince him to make any bonehead moves, like signing in NO.

I think it would be funny if both teams got tired of waiting and decided to go in different directions. It won't happen. But it would be funny.

Thats exactly what i think. You wouldn't just walk away from each other, but the trick is getting the other to blink. If we started making "serious" attempts at other possiblities it may jar the rust loose. I mean if both parties wanna play games with each other, you may as well pull out all the stops. Drew obviously feels like he's got forever to decide. Maybe we can "trick" him into thinking we don't believe hes gonna sign here.

But this is what I don't like about this process. Miami is going to be making a run at a championship soon, why would you not what to be here for that if the coach is pursueing you? If Brees is going to be healthy, with the weapons and the protection Saban and Houck are putting around him, he is crazy for not signing, even if it's incentive laiden. No wonder Culpepper is so anxious to get here. I'm almost to the point of I would rather have a slower, bigger, stronger Culpepper then a smaller guy who might start throwing up ducks and get paid a lot to do it...

b/c of security...Brees knows that...hey this might be my last shot to make $$$. he knows that there is a pretty big risk with his surgically repaired shoulder...what happens if he does not get back to 100%???what happens if he does not play like a pro bowler anymore??? we'll he'll get released...not after the 1st season but he would get released down the road...so he's looking to cash in now...because if he doesn't...it might be too late!!!

I trust Saban and the front office...I like how they are approaching this....I like how Saban and Co. put out other QB names even when Brees was in for a visit...they are still in contact with Minny and Culpepper...than they even put out a statement that they are serious about Shuab from Atlanta...

I trust Saban & Co.

Actually, just read that Jamar Fletcher is a free agent. I say we once again pass on Brees and take Fletcher! That'll show him.
