after listening to various radio shows and various media people . I hope dolphin fans are not getting a swelled head and are making plans to the playoffs. The word is , that with denver winning against the Giants the dolphins are likely out of the playoffs unless the fins beat Houston, Tenn , the Pats and maybe even the bills.Dolphin fans we all want to go to the playoffs but be realistic we have no wrs and our tightends are banged up and our runningbacks are banged up a little bit too.
Now if Miami were to beat at least 4 of our next opponets then I would say we have a good chance to reach the 2nd round .
If Houston Pitts, Jets and Chargers all win this week and we dont then dolphin fans need to put down the sunglasses because we wont be in the playoffs if these teams win . so if we lose to the Billas and pats its all over for us this year.

I brought this up because there seems to be a notion that the playoffs are a sure thing. Two factors that hurt us.
(1) fins are 0-4 against good teams
(2) Denver , Houston Tenn , Batlimore and the jets have beaten good teams

People around here are forgetting the horible playcalling and how little improvement the fins made from last year to this year.
I am only bringing this up because Tenn and Denver are hot right now and the dolphins are teribly overrated for the time being.
I am trying to use reverse physcology so i can motivate the football Gods to smile upon us .

the horible playcalling, lack of a good wr corp ,and inconsistancy of our defense and offense dont make it likely that the phins will be in the playoffs.

remember when we went 10-6 back in 2003 well we missed the playoffs so how can dolphin fans think can get in with a unimpressive win -loss record .

Well obviously we need to win atleast 4 of our last 6 games. The Broncos winning doesn't really change that.

wow we should just stop playing the games right now. Forfiet the rest of the season so that we can improve our draft position. thanks for letting us know our team doesn't have a snowballs chance, even though Henne and the fins are now 5-2 with him as a starter.

When are people going to learn. You worry about the team standing on the opposite sideline ALWAYS. You win YOUR games and everything else takes care of itself. Don't worry about Denver. Don't worry about Pittsburgh. Don't worry about New England.

Worry about Buffalo.

Besides, you can't order playoff tickets until they mail out the forms.

I've already ordered Super Bowl tickets, what you talking about man, this is the best Dolphin team ever, geez.

LOOK I didnt mean it to come out the way it did . I think we can win those games but talking about playoffs without beating a really good team could hurt our cahances and that was what i was trying to say . I am not giving up but i am just saying remember when we won 10 games and we didnt make the playoffs well this year is shaping up to be a very similar situation is what I am trying to poin out here.

Denver is hot? They lost four games in a row before knocking off the sinking Giants. The Titans are 4-6.

The biggest concern right now has to be knocking off the Bills, and getting to 6-5. Then the following week we get a real glimpse at how good of a chance at making the playoffs we have. If this team beets New England and Buffalo we have as a real a shot as anyone to make the playoffs. If we are going to get there we have to knock off Buffalo, Tenn, and Jacksonville. Then we have to win at least 2 of the games against New England, Houston, and Pitt. Luckily they are all home games, but they all bring up real concerns. They all have serious QBs and WRs that will be a test for our young secondary. The Stealers secondary has me very concerned. Troy may be the best defensive player in the NFL. That is not good for our young QB, and mediocre WR corps.

dont get too high on denver. they play at indy and philly. they are 1-2 on the east coast, that week one win was against cincy and it was a fluke win.

Denver's W over the Giants was more about how bad the Giants are....not how good Denver is.And Peyton will perform surgery on the Geritol defensive backs,as will McNabb. It's pretty amazing how Sparano gets our boys,to keep overcoming skeptics and doubters...especially with the hellish schedule that was given us.I still think we finish 9-7,and with help, could be a factor.Nevertheless,I'm proud of our guys, and the way they play as one.High 5's to the whole organization, from top to bottom!!! I firmly believe our WR,DE,and LB's will be addressed in the offseason."WE ARE IN GOOD HANDS FELLAS"!!!................"I AM FIN4LIFE"!!!

Dude that's what fans do. We could all be talking Super bowl right now and it would have no effect on the outcome of the Bills game. Hate to dissapoint you guys but what's posted here is not that important. Us fans do not have to take things one game at a time, it doesn't matter. The Dolphins are the ones that need to worry about that. We can be as ****y, arrogant or negative as we ant and it has no effect on anything.

Denver winning was a bad thing. They have 2 games with KC left and 1 with Oakland, then harder games against the Colts and Eagles. This pretty much seals the deal that we need a 10-6 or 11-5 record to make the playoffs. With critical games against other wild card contenders in Houston, Jacksonville, Tenn, and Pittsburgh, we can not afford to lose any of those games as they could have serious tie breaker implications. The New England and Buffalo games are critical for winning the AFC east.

It is going to be a tough road with a very young team, and team that has suffererd some serious injuries. Next year I think this team has a much better chance to make a serious run, but I am very psyched they have made this season so interesting.
