Hiring Johnson or Moss would be a great move imho. Johnson has worked and played for Parcells before, so he knows what is expected from him. Also they guy is a winner. He has Super Bowls rings from coaching and playing. As far as Moss is concearned, I was impressed how well there LB core played, especially what he did with rookie Clay Matthews. He is a Miami resident and is a former UM player too. One other name I will throw out there that hasnt been mentioned is Dennis Thurman secondary coach w/ the Jets. He is know as a no nonsense guy and great teacher who believes that defenses should be aggressive and physical. Just my two cents,,,

Moss probably won't happen since he's Assistant HC, so going to a DC job is technically a downgrade for him.

johnson is a little young isnt he? wouldnt it be good to get a guy with a little more experience?

I understand what you're saying, but some people on theses boards would shy away from the older coaches. Where do we draw the line when it comes to the age of a coach? Me personally, I don't care, as long as he can make a significant impact on our ailing defense.

johnson is 46 I believe he would be a pretty good andidate and be able to relte to the younger players not have to write on rocks or take 8millions pills a day like some of the d-coords do LOL

what does age have to do w/ it? if he is good at s'thing then he needs to be hired. to be honest how i think he would fit in perfectly here, call it a gut feeling

I don't think people care about the age, they just didn't like the idea of getting a retread like Al Groh. Keith Butler isn't young (52), Dean Pees is 60. The thing is both are highly respected assistants that are relative unknown commodities.

Pepper is sort of the guy. I mean, he's smart, and played at a high level. He's one of those football guys. There's a reason Marino didn't coach. He's just not suited for it. I think Johnson would be if anyone was.

Waiting for Sutton. Once the Jets lose to the Chargers on Sunday, interview on Monday.
