And tell the whole team that this game is for Coach Sparano the real "Coach of the year".. I think that will really get the team riled up and ready for the dirty birds..

thoughts?

Eh ... Interesting idea, but I'd rather have Coach give the speeches. JMO.

How about "play lights out or Sparano will bust a cap in yer ***!!!"

I hope they all just sit there quietly and gaze into each others eyes before the game... Maybe a lil candlelight and Marvin Gaye also?

That could cause some ejections before the game even starts...

Crowder would probably be trying to hump Michael Turners leg at mid-field for the coin toss....

I don't think focus will ever be a problem for the team.

Porter's pregame speech will probably be something like a whole bunch of yelling and cussing, ending with let's ride, like always  I like it though. From my experience, it gets your adrenaline flowing when someone is firing you guys up and you get in the moment and go out there ready to kick some ***.

Porter is our leader that is why i like him so much zach and jt were great leaders but they lead by example joey on the other hand gets the players fired up he is great like coach said. every team needs a guy like joey and im glad were not playing against him he knows how to motivate i don't understand how some people on here can't like the guy he talks alot but he backs it up and if your on his team he has your back no matter what thats the kinda guy i want on my team!!!

I think we transfer lots of thoughts we have to our players. I pretty much will trust our chosen team leaders on the matter of leadership and how they choose to do it.

Funny thing is I've always been fired up by a calm, centered approach. The single most inspireing moment in all my football playing life was in the MIAC tournament (Flag football, US Army) We were getting housed. Everyone was going off on each other, everyone was wanting to be the "Firey" leader.

It came down to the QB . He was like..."Are you guys done?....." We all just sort of listened to him.

He goes..."Look here. We're going to go out there and score. Then, we're going to hold them.....That's where we will take thier heart. Then, we will wear them down and win, because we have thier hearts in out hands."

He delivered that speech in a very matter of fact, but focused tone. I was ****ing fired up when we went on the field. I wanted to revert to my high school days and put people on their *****.

We won. But even in my "Real" football days, I don't know that anything but the QB that knew we were going to win stepped in and told us we were going to win, then, calmly went about doing it.

When you were so fired up did you rip off the opponents flag with extreme force, maybe even ruining the velcro?

Athletes should do athletic things and leave the speeches to experts.
