If he says he can deal with the pain then let him.

Time for precautions is over. It's do or die. Man up and play. He won't be the first man in the nfl that had to gut it out

He's already somewhat of a liability. If the injury makes him even more limited and he's still better than the next man up then it won't matter anyway.

He's not better than a dimitri Patterson, 100% or otherwise

Still need Finnegan out there regardless of Taylor's availability

Agreed. Though I still think he's worth developing.

Not sure why so many are down in Patterson as a player. He was quite good when healthy last year.

I agree Taylor is still worth developing. He showed some positive things before he went out that showed he can be a decent back up

Ever separated a shoulder?

After you separate a shoulder, it is not about the pain. It hurts most while it is separated.

The problem is that, usually, you lack strength, stability, and mobility. Stability is a big problem. It will pop out much easier if it isn't allowed time to tighten up. In terms of mobility, you might not have the ability to raise your arm completely for weeks.

Strength is even worse. In my experience, the separation affects nerves that run through the area and it is physically impossible to push as hard as usual. I had one separation where I was numb in the arm for a week. No power or feeling....

My last separation, while in my late 20s, took me almost a year to recover from completely. There as a long period of time where I had to do dumbbell presses instead of bench presses because one side was incapable of delivering power.

In other words, it is easy to say "fight through the pain" but the reality is CBs need their shoulders functioning to be effective. The Mel Gibson visual from those cop movies isn't how it works. You don't slam your shoulder back into place and go back to normal.

Well I believe that Taylor will develop into a very good corner and, if he stays healthy, may even be a starter next year. Finnegan may be a cap casualty.

disagree - better to rest him if needed and have him for the rest of the season then rush him, play six snaps then go on IR
