I know we got extra picks in the trade but Perryman was a need and an excellent player. What do you guys think ??

I've said this elsewhere, but I prefer Jeff Luc as a UDFA than Perryman as a 2nd rounder - similar skillset IMO.

He's just not worth the 2nd rounder to me.. I think he's better cast in a 3-4 too.

You guys watched Perryman in full games? Not just the highlights?

He's no where near the linebacker you guys think he is.

I would of taken him . . . people will come in here and tell you that he's overrated, a 2 down thumper and only wanted because he's from the U.

Just a bunch of nonsense.

I'll say this, this draft will be looked at in a year or 2 in regards to that 2nd round pick. If Phillips flops and we are struggling to find a MLB and one or 2 of those MLB's in our grasp are big named guys . . . . it will be an arguing point for many in regards to this draft.

Yep I really wished we had perryman or kendrick...guess we got Taiwan jones. He's good too

Yep denzel was probably the hardest hitting defender in thus draft

I like Perryman and would have had no problem with drafting him. But I think Phillips has just as much of a chance to become a factor as Perryman does.

The funny thing is next year or the year after if someone says let's trade our third round pick to San Diego for Perryman people will be screaming he's not worth it and you should never give up a top three draft pick.

I think you can make an argument that making your DL even stronger is a better move than improving you LB corps.

I do think our DL folded far worse than our LB corps did at the end of last year. I understand we signed Suh, but it helps with that invest to pair Suh up with a young and talented player.

It should help Suh, it should help that young player along side Suh and I also think it will help our current LB corps.

We passed on Aaron Rodgers too. Get over it people. We didn't want him so we passed. Instead got picks and Ajayi was one of those and he might have bean the steal of the draft.

Ozzy rules!!

Why would anyone regret passing on a 2 down LB?

It will be interesting to see by the end of the year. I know many people were dying to add the Cane to our team as he was a great player and a big time need for us. Time will tell.

I believe it was Adam Beasly who reported that the coaches believed our woes against the run at the end of last year was primarily the fault of the DTs. Not sure I completely believe that, but it would explain the lack of urgency in finding more linebackers.

I never understand the two down linebacker argument. I don't see the problem if he's a great two down linebacker that helps leave the opponent in third and long so I can replace him with my nickle back on third down. The knock that he can't cover a Darren Sproles out of the backfield is silly, because very few linebackers can.

Rowe and Perryman. Going to pay heavy attention to these two over the next couple years in addition to Phillips. I hope the Dolphins chose correctly.

Careful, that's a two-way street.
