Sorry if I sound a little angry but...

Concerning the RB position. I'm still puzzled about this. WHY on earth would we want another back? Why would we waste a draft pick on another back when we have Ronnie Brown. We would not only spend another pick, but have to pay this guy. Some folks here want Edge, but why?

Guys, our main concern isn't RB. If it was all up to you guys, we would need to get Tomlinson, James, Portis, Johnson, Holmes, Alexander, Barber and then some to complete our RB corps. Isn't Ronnie Brown enough? The only reason we kept Ricky last year was because he was getting paid at the league minimum, but now he is probably gone after this year (regarding the failed drug test or not) and if we do indeed get another back, it will cost us a lot more.

Doesn't everyone remember Brown and his explosive burst, the ability to catch out of the backfield and his tremendus ability to block any incoming LB? Guys, this guy got over 907 yards this season and only carried the ball 207 times. With the full load, he would have easily gotten 1500+ yards. Sure, some people on here want another guy to replace Brown if he gets injured. But the simple fact is that we don't need another star guy like Edge to fill in.

How about we spend our money on people we actually need. Just my 2 cents...

Im with you. If we do spend a pick on a back, hopefully its in the 7th. I think if we resign sammy morris we will be fine.

We need a QB, CB and help on the o-line before another back.

I think it has to do with the uncertainty of him being able to do it himself. His entire career he has shared carries and now all of a sudden is thrown into the lead role. In my opinion Morris is more than capable of being the back up to Ronnie.

That is true, but he should finally be given a chance this upcoming season. Morris is indeed a capable backup. He has more than proved himself in my books.

I don't know if people forgot about Kay Jay, but if Ricky is unable to return I am hoping that Kay Jay Harris is put on the regular roster and is given a chance as a back-up to Ronnie. He was projected a first day pick last year, he's just a little older than Ronnie is.

I don't read all of these so I missed the Edge thread. I think thats pretty funny. If we pay somebody that kind of money I would think it would be our next QB not a running back to share carries

All of yesterday there was quite a few threads with people wanting Edge. And there was also a few with some people wanting us to draft another RB in the early rounds. :shakeno:

there will be running backs available in the draft that we can take, 4-7th rounds, why not?? besides, if saban isnt looking for a QB this year with all this talk of a new vet coming in, whos to say he isn't going to trade ronnie to get Brady Quinn IMO, I love Ronnie, he is going to be a great back, but QB has been the issue with this team since Dan left, not RB.

I think people have concluded Ricky wont be on the roster. I think that would be presumptuous.

There is no way I would want to trade Ronnie for Quinn..Ronnie is proven, Brady could still be just a one hit wonder, he only had one good year in college, Im sorry I just think that would be stupid...

There is no way the Dolphins trade Ronnie Brown.

He is our future.

Back to the point at hand, I agree with No Edge ( the simple possibility is ridiculous). Sammy Morris is a big bruising back who can catch out of the backfield and block. Nice change of pace once in a while.

This time no splitting carries. It's Ronnie time. periodl
