Not any real football content here...just wanted to say that I just got back from the hometown of what has been my favorite football team for more than 30 years. The gf and I flew down to Miami Friday morning and stayed at the Chesterfield on Collins. I hadn't been down to South Beach in about 8 years and had wanted to get back sooner but life circumstances pretty much laid waste to those plans. It felt great to be back in Miami and "closer" to my 'phins. I got chills driving past the stadium and saw the Hardknocks billboard on I95 downtown. Anyway, just wanted to throw this post up. I love being in Miami, and I love my 'phins. And, my gf loved going topless on the beach too.

Were the streets of Biscayne still covered with confetti from the parade of YOUR WORLD CHAMPION MIAMI HEAT?
 
Hey AkronFF, sounds like a great visit.

When's the last time you've been to the Canton NFL HOF? ... do you get there much, or not because you live so close?

I live in Silicon Valley & used to travel alot for the software co.s ... was always targeting Cleveland & especially the tire co.s to get to Canton, been quite a few times.

Also, LOVED the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame ... which I think is one of the 'better done' museums in the US & I've seen most.

Been a few years for both ... economy soured & big projects shrank to little projects done by local folks.

I live about 25 from the HOF. I don't go much but it's kind of nice knowing that I can buzz down there anytime I want. Same for the Rock Hall...and I agree, it's a very cool place to visit.

Yeah, Akron's really close. Worked alot at Goodyear & some of the guys were from Canton & told me they played their high school games on that field. They even took me to a game one Fri. when a brother played ... that's football territory!! Loved the restaurants & food too ... I grew up in St. Louis.

Some finheaven guys went to a game in Cleveland to see Miami & I steered them to the Winking Lizard to get lubricated & fed!
