I just got into it with Adam Schein...

I was just on with Schein about 5 minutes ago. An older guy called in talking about the Dolphins and after the call, Schein proceeded to totally bag on the team and the organization, saying that they are clearly the worst team in the division.

I couldn't stand pat so I called in. I told him that while I do enjoy listening to the show, it's clear to me that his bias toward the Jets completely jades his opinions of the Dolphins. He made it a point to say that he hears that about him a lot and went on to clarify that he is NOT a fan of the Jets but does some radio work for them.

I said that while the Dolphins were only 6-10 last year that they swept the Bills. He said...'Kyle, can you honestly tell me that as they are presently constructed, the Dolphins are better than the Bills?' To which I replied...'I do...the Dolphins were much more of a mess last year than they are now and they swept the Bills. They are much more stable now, Ryan Fitzpatrick is extremely overrated and how is Mario Williams going to help the Bills put more points on the board?"

I continued...."The Dolphins played very well down the stretch last year and should have beaten the Giants. In fact, they outplayed the Giants for most of that game."

Before I could go on, my call got mysteriously disconnected.

The media are trying to make the Jets something they are not, they're trying to prop up their golden boy, as a matter of fact they do it every year even if the jets have won or not, Mark Sanchez has pulled the wool over the Jets organizations eyes by disguising himself as the future and savior of the franchise which he is not. Guess what this isn't USC and I think Sanchez and that blowhard Adam Schien knows it.

I thought they acquired the savior from the donkeys this offseason?

If thats Schein in post 27; I have one question. Shouldn't he be doing the GTL thing at the shore??

I'm sure he said positive things about Miami in 2008 but outside of '08 what positive have they done to earn praise? until Miami becomes a winner again they won't get praise.

I happen to really like him, I think he's good on the radio, he's good on the local Jets shows. I hate homers in the media, if I wanted a fans view I would just read posts at my jets forum but I don't feel Schein is pro Jet at all.



How is that true? what have the dolphins done on the field to earn praise? There is a reason most peope pick them 4th, that doesn't mean it will happen but the odds are pretty good they will finish 4th or 3rd at best.

Our draft was solid, our coaching is new but improved. Yet he goes out of his way to act disgusted that he actually has to talk about the Dolphins, and goes out of his way to blow up everything about the Jets as being perfect, great decisions, and genius. He makes Peter King look unbiased. If you can't see that, you aint looking.

Of course I do...but it was clearly better than the Bills' and arguably, the Jets' as well last year.

How was it arguably better than the Jets when you finished 2 games behind us? Buffalo made some big changes to a team that looked like an up and coming team a year ago, you guys are starting over again. You could beat one or both of us out but the reality is you will be the overwhelming pick to finish 4th in the division.

You do realize we finish the season 6-3 with loses coming to Eagles, Patriots and Cowboys. We were the first team in NFL history to not make the playoffs with a 1,000 yd rusher and 1,00o yd receiver. 3rd against the Rush, 6th in Points Allowed. 12th Rated Passer. 3rd Most Sacks. Etc. Yeah we got off to a horrible start, but to say we finish the season in much better footing the damn Jets. 4-9 to end the season, with turmoil. So who's play wasn't good again? Oh yeah last game lost to US..

we weren't out of te playoff race by mid october, we actually played meaningful games in dec- we lost them but we played them. You didn't play in a single meaningful game all season long.

we lost our playoff bid the week before, even had we beat you we wouldn't ahve made it. We sucked to end 2011 but our worst season in the last 3 years was still better than your best season so things could always be worse, right?

If you do, it's sheer fandom getting in the way.The Dolphins front office makes a couple huge, well-publicized gaffes and all of a sudden the team has no talent? How is a leap like that made? Because of fools like Schein who refuse to dig very deep.One thing he did agree with me about was when I said that the Jets team is as big a mess as there is in the league.

Adam Schein is fun on SNY when the Jets lose. Not as much fan as Joe Beningo on WFAN, but at least he's even handed in both his praise and condemnation of the team, depending on the results.

I disagree, entirely. I just don't see it. If it is indeed the case that the Jets are a better team than the Dolphins, it certainly does not translate to the field.
