I just got off the phone with Denis Hickey!

Initially it wasn't football related. He called in needing help with something. I won't say who I work for, out of respect for his privacy. But after I helped him in a professional manner, I went rogue and told him I know exactly who he is and said that I am a HUGE Miami Dolphins fan, which made him laugh :lol:


I just told him that it's a huge honor to talk to him, that I feel like the team is really headed in the right direction under the current regime (which I do). I said I was happy about the Suh move, disappointed that we lost Clay but that I knew he would make the right moves in the upcoming draft. Told him I know he's going to help us build a winner.

He thanked me for being a supportive fan, and said we have the best fans in the NFL (which we do). That was basically it. It was a brief but very cool interaction. He is super nice. Before I mentioned being a fan, he was never rude or anything. I get rude callers all the time, he was very cool.

And no, I'm not making this up. I barely ever post here and I do have better things to do on a Friday night than fabricate a story like this! Just wanted to share with you guys.

This is more believable than some stories because you don't claim to have any inside info or anything. Hell maybe his internet went down and you're the support guy. We may never know
 
Why do people always question things? Enjoy his story...it seems quite sincere. It's a wonder why anyone would want to post things that are exciting to them when there is risk that idiots always want to shoot them down. (Besides Enduro's posts)

I guess i should have been more clear...or indicated it at all, but: i was joking.

I believe Denis Hickey has the mental capacity to pick up a phone and call someone, who in turn answers. Had we been talking about Kevin Coyle, i might have been more serious in my skepticism.
 
Hickey seems to be a CLASS act from everything I have seen. Cool story!!!
 
I think Hickey is going to be great! I think T-Baum at this point was brought in while Hickey makes a name for himself. I don't think we pull off some of the stuff we did without T-Baum. He does seem like a really good guy, which is a great change from the a-hole we had in Ireland! Cool story man!
 
I love it. Glad he was cool, I've liked Hickey from his time in Tampa (my #2 team) and his first draft for us was better than all of Ireland's combined.
