The very First thing I do is Bring in Mike Tannebaum and I say to him....At the beginning of the season you told me that this team was good and could compete for the Division and Make the Playoffs. You let me go out in the media and repeat that to millions of people. You asked me to give Suh 100 million dollars saying he would fix the problems with stopping the run, you convinced me to give Ryan Tanehill 45 million in guaranteed money saying he would be our Franchise QB! WHAT HAPPENED??

Tannebaum responds with whatever he'd say.. And then I cut him off and say CLEARLY YOU WERE WRONG! This team is not only nowhere near competing for a playoff spot or a Division Title, IT'S THE WORST TEAM IN THE DIVISION! AND IT'S NOT EVEN CLOSE! Obviously I over estimated your talent evaluation skills. Thanks for your efforts but We're gonna have to go in another direction.

I then do the same thing with Hickey and all of the other personnel guys. The only ones I'd consider letting stay around for the next GM to decide their fate, are the ones that have it on record somewhere that They didn't think this team was talented enough to compete. If you thought that, and didn't speak up.... too bad. you gotta go.

After I fire all of the personnel guys. I put the players on notice that the ONLY player that I would vouch for and say is untouchable to the new GM is Jarvis Landry. He's the ONLY player that has played with the fire and passion since day 1. Pre Coaching change and Post coaching changes. Those are the types of players I stand behind. EVERYONE ELSE IS FAIR GAME! Whatever the new GM and Coaches want to do with you, I'm ok with.

I then go about my new GM\VP of football ops search. This is one in the same position. I task the new head guy to find me a coach with proven success on the field. With X's and O's!! He needs to be a Master at either offense or defense and willing to BECOME a master of whatever he's not already a master at. Once we have that coach in place, you and the coach need to fine great coordinators with PROVEN SUCCESS! No more OJT guys. Find experienced assistants and hire them as assistant coaches. I want a coach for EVERY POSITION!!!! MLB coach, ROLB coach, LOLB coach, WR1 Coach, WR2 Coach, Slot WR Coach etc..... Those coaches will ONLY be responsible for their position. Studying and breaking down film for ONLY THEIR POSITION! They will then give their players that film cut up with plays that ONLY concern them!

I then tell them all... you got 4 year! RIGHT THE SHIP! If they fail to do so in that time frame!!! I do it all over again.

fire tannenbum, hickey hire dan as prez, payton as coach cut about non performing players fix oline draft all defensive players---superbowl!!!!!!!!

TANNENBAUM........ Probably would not have been in my top five personnel guys. He probably got the job from being a crony of Ross and Parcells and the New York crowd, but I don't see Ross replacing him, or promoting Hickey or someone else over him, so hopefully he makes better moves. My nightmare scenario is Tannenbaum rehiring Mangini, who was his choice to run the Jets back in the day.

I am with you on that.

I call Jimmy Johnson, I put him in charge of everything. I tell him, Jimmy do what you want!

I would definitely start at the top, and clean house. You got it just about right, anything less than starting over at the top will result in another lost season spent spinning our wheels. Once you've got that top position solidified, you can go about your coaching search, and ultimately player evaluation and then hopefully some good decisions start being made.

I'm afraid somebody (Tannebaum) is going to be whispering in Ross's ear the whole time blowing even more smoke up his ass about how this team is just player X or Y away from being a legit contender. Ross obviously isn't a football guy, but at some point even the layman can see that this franchise is not headed in an upward direction and massive changes are in order.

I would sell the team and move to the Caribbean.

I don't have a clue besides the obvious firings. Honestly I came into the season excited about what we did do...like a crap load of others who are now upset (im in that group too).

Your the owner put some names out there who you would like...
Silly to say fire these guys and get the right GM/VP who you think is going to make the right call.....Which GM do you have in mind if any ? Thats the million dollar question

Which HC would you go after....thats what the owner must do not talk in the abstract fantasy world...

Puts some names to your selections ...put yourself in the owners position of actually having to put a name on that abstract GM your hiring...

I'd add Reshad Jones to the untouchable list...and possibly Ajayi (to early to tell)

Fire Tannenbaum, fire Aponte, let Hickey walk.

Hire Tom Gamble as GM/President/whatever ****ing title.

Hire Sean McDermott as head coach and bring in Rob Chudzinski to run the offense.

Resign Vernon, extend Jordan Cameron, try and extend Kenny Stills while hes coming off a down year. Draft the best player available as long as it makes logical sense. If the prospects talent are relatively close enough that we can choose based on need, draft a defensive end. Pass rushers are the second most important position in football and can often takes years to develop. Send a mid to late round pick to the Rams, Giants, or any of the other teams that seem to have talented running backs buried on the bench.

I'd move the team to India. Teams wouldn't want to go that far to play so they'd forfeit their games making Miami 8-0 automatically. Win 5 games a year on the road and it's homefield throughout the postseason every year.

Ok... the post was already long so I didn't want to ramble on too much but this is how I'd go about it, I don't know names but you'll get the gist of what I'm getting at.

I look at organizations that have a historical track record of winning by building through the draft. Who's the GM or personnel directors in Seattle, Greenbay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, New England, I look at how long they've been a part of that organizations and i look into what their roles were as it relates to building a team. The teams I've mentioned here have a history of being good With the exception of Seattle, but they've shown a recent propensity to draft pretty damn good. I'd start with these teams. I'd be more skeptical about guys coming from organization the just started winning, is it lightning in a bottle or can the success be sustained? That would be my questions with those teams (Cardinals, Bengals, Panthers etc...)

Third, I'd look through the College ranks to see if there are any personnel guys that have NFL experience but decided to go to college maybe for a pay raise or more power. If there are personnel guys in Alabama, LSU, Ohio State etc... that fit that criteria I'm bring em in.

I like Reshad Jones however, I don't think he's untouchable, not at his age. He's more on the downside than the upside. I'm not sure if he'd still be elite in 4 years.

HEY You're the owner, you can't do all of that!! Unless you'd be the Jerry Jones type. :-)

If you just made me owner of this franchise, you already did fix this mess, simply by eliminating Stephen Ross.

I love these types of threads. It sooo easy! Just say this to this person. Give that person money, Fire that person(Never mind salary cap, get rid of these plays bring in these better ones, hell with ramification etc) ...and Just like that everything fits into place.

Always entertaining...If only other professions jobs worked that way..
