ok ok i dont wanna get ahead of myself here but after the ne win i cant help but to look ahead a lil bit... if we played half as well as we did in that game i believe we have a good shot at making the playoffs.. now im knockin on wood as im typin this but check it out...

rest of schedule:
sd@mia
mia@hou
bal@mia
buf@mia
mia@den
sea@mia
oak@mia
ne@mia
mia@stl
mia@buf
sf@mia
mia@kc
mia@nyj

i believe the next game is extremely important because it may continue our momentum and set the tone for the rest of the season.. but if we can use this bye week as extra time to prepare and recover i think we have a shot.. then out of the rest of the games i think easier games are (hou, bal, oak, stl, sf, kc) and say we win the sd game that will be 8 wins.. and we already know we can beat ne.. so 9? and then i doubt we will lose to buf twice if even once so 10? and i really think we can beat nyj's next time around after we come together as a team.. so thats a possible 11-5 record.. now i dont expect it playin out exactly that way at all, it is very possible to lose to an "easier" team, but it is also possible to beat a better team like den.. now im prob gonna get heat for this thread cuz im buyin to much into the ne game.. but hey a fan can dream right? is my optimism not without merit? i mean come on think about it.. what do u all think?

go dolphins :woot:

No way this team wins 11 games.. period.

there was no way we would shread ne's tough d either tho right?
or was that a fluke?

I disagree. I agree that 11 is a high number and it may be difficult, but we have an easy schedule and will not face a WR tandem like Boldin and Fitz again this year, so I believe we can stay competitive in a lot of games and come away with more than we expected.

I can tell you one thing if they do somehow it will be one of the happiest Dolphin seasons for all of us fans in a long time. It's easy to say there's just no way but I'm still rooting for something like that.

I think if the team can gel and really buy into Sparano and the rest of the staff and their system that the sky is the limit for this young team. I don't know about the rest of the season at the moment because it's week 5 now and I want the Dolphins to show the rest of the league we won't just sit down and take it like last year. I'm just hoping for a W this week... then we'll talk about 11-5 and all that.

Wow your over looking every opponent like their garbage 49's, Texans undefeated ravens will give us a good game but you act like were superbowl contenders. I dont think 8-8 or 9-7 is out of the question though.

Wow optimistic, aren't you.:)

As a fan, sure I would love to believe that we can win 9 or 10 games but we're still fundamentally the same team that got destroyed by Arizona.

It will be very interesting to see how Miami plays next week. I'm not expecting much from the wildcat formation but if we can play as fundamentally sound and as error free as we did against NE, I think we have a good shot at winning.

sssshhhhh! You're gonna jinx our Superbowl run!

rest of schedule:
sd@mia<<<<<tough game, hard to call because Sd's play of so far...I think with Chads accuracy and we dont allow them to get pressure on him we can let him lead us down the field and let ronnie and ricky punch it in, also we need ginn on returns to give us good field position, i know bess was second last time i check in AVG yardage but I think ginn can make a TD play...

mia@hou<<<<from what I seen so far i see no reason why we should lose this game yet other than any given sunday, cant wait to see long match up with williams...

bal@mia<<<<<they will be a tough team in my opinion, not the same team we beat last year.....we'll see

buf@mia<<<<<from what I seen so far we could probably pull this one out but its not likely.......hopefully we see something these up and coming weeks..

mia@den<<<if we run on them like larry johnson did we should be able to tire their defense and keep cutler off the field

sea@mia<<<<old beat up, and basically no receiving game from what I heard and if we can apply pressure and stop the run we could win, I also like that we have hte homefield avantage seeing how seattle is a tough place to play...

oak@mia<<<<tough to say here, Oakland is no pushover and will play all 4 quarters.....if we apply pressure russel should do what he does best, fumble and throw picks lol

ne@mia<<<umm, im not sure, we blew them out, hopefully we sketch up ways to demolsih their aging D again......and a home game, hopefully seats fill up by then lol

mia@stl<<<they have weapons, hopefully they dont find them late in the season, i see this a win if they keep up the losing...

mia@buf<<<luckily we play ina dome i think, so that eliminates one cold game and away game basically even though buffalo is considered the "home" team......we'll see what happens....should be another good one

sf@mia<<<<I like that we play SF here now, hopefully a couple teams come in and break their confidence of even making hte playoffs and slow JT from improving...

mia@kc<<<<if they play like they do now we can win, will be hard on the road but KC is among the teams allowing the rush(30th), they are pretty decent pass D but can be passed on(see broncos game), and other a running game their offense doesnt look to special at this point, i know its hard to tell but I see a win.....

mia@nyj-even though this is a road game, and that we blew the first game, I believe we come out seeking revenge, joey porter and the D have a good game and the secondary doesn't make petty mistakes they did...this might be a playoff deciding game....(even though its division and already is lol)

I think only thing stopping us from going to the playoffs is ourselves, we cant beat up ourselves with stupid mistakes and say "that can be fixed" and go remake them. we need to get the secondary playing better and special teams needs to stop allowing so many yards on the return........biggest thing we can not lose confidence.....I like the attitude of the dolphins right now, reminds me of a proud Hurricanes team.....

couple tough games, but dont be suprised if we beat teams like Seattle, San Fran, Denver who have blatant weakness to attack which could end in domination lol.....I think are toughest games left are Division games and then the Chargers game.......this next game should really show us what last week ment, and what better week to have the bye right?......lets go out there and win, GO FINS

Royal, Marshall and Scheffler at Denver are just as dangerous.

Chamber, Jackson and Gates in San Diego are also pretty decent

5 more wins...Oakland, St Louis, San Fran, KC & Jests.

If we manage one or two more, then that'd be great. I think a 6-10 season is attainable.

I agree.

San Diego is going to be the deciding factor, period. If we win...the possibilities are endless. If we lose...then we'd have to be on fire the rest of the season to come back from being 1-3. Especially in this division...which leads me to the other point.

It all comes down to our division. The Bills/Jets are a whole hell of alot harder than we imagined. The Bills rushing attack and DEF/SPEC TEAMS are playing excellent. If we can contain the run, and stop Lee Evans doing what he does best (lighting up the phins) then we could win.

We already know we can beat the Jets/Pats...if we build momentum early on in the season those games will be treated like playoff games. Thats our only chance of making it in the playoffs I'm afraid...sweeping our division from this point on.

I actually think we could sneak one against the Bills this season. They were not great at all against the Rams who are just awful on D. Peters went out last night and they also gave up four sacks. Jackson also rushed for 110 yards last night.

Was'nt impressed by the Bills at all last night, but they did pick up the W and thats all that matters, but if I was a Bills fan I would be concerned after last nights game. They can be got at.
