if you think we're coming out of the tough stretch next year, into the playoffs with this receiving group you're nuts...... we're going to get crushed if we take the feild with Ginn, Cam and Bess.

don't bash me, I'm a die hard dolphins fan and I'm just calling it how I see it. We played some soft teams this year and struggled mightly with most of them. we need a REAL threat because Ginn, Cam and Bess aren't going to cut it I'm sorry. How the hell do you expect us to be a great team or advance in the playoffs with three midgets? honestly. Are there no big dominant receivers anymore? You're out of your mind if you don't think Receiver is our number one need

Camarillo and Bess are fine. Ginn is the one who needs to step it up. And actually, you are out of your mind to think receiver is our No.1 need.

bro - we played soft teams like i said. yeah they were alright this year. but next year is a real deal schedule....we need a REAL receiver.

I am going to go with you on this. I would be interested in taking a good look at Ramses Barden. dolphinator86 brought him to my attention. He is 6'6", 227 lbs and runs a 4.58 40 yard dash. In 4 years at Cal-Poly (yeah I know) he had 50 TDs, 4,000 yards and over 200 catches. Could be a 3rd round steal. There's been some good receivers come out of small schools.

I would say we might need a REAL pass rush and REAL solid o-line before we worry about recievers so much. Won't matter if there is a jailbreak like the Ravens game.

Against this same competition you mention, we also need an upgrade at NT, OC, OG, S, and ILB. Any one of those is more critical than some big name WR. Matter of fact, C and OG are bigger needs, because it is critical to have a dependable run game with Pennington at QB.

Your intelligence cannot be dnied. But I disagree with you on this post. What is wrong with Smiley and Thomas? And when they return next year healthy, I believe satele gets better as he was in his rookie year. This will only be satele's 3rd year and Thomas hasn't even played 1 full year yet.

What's even more impressive about that is that CP ran an option offense. So to get those kind of stats in that type of offense is pretty impressive.

I think their coach just got hired by Navy to run the same thing there.

You are assumeing that Donald Thomas is going to come back and full speed. You are also assumeing he will continue to play at the level he flashed briefly. You are also assumeing that Smiley, who is ageing and, broke his leg, not to mention who I think is now up to three shoulder proceedures on the same shoulder will be back and 100%. Even at his best, smiley isn't a drive blocker. He's best in space....Much like Satale, who got manhandled on many occasions this year. Despite what the statistics say there were very few times we could get a consistant running game going. Against toughter teams, like the Ravens, the softness of the offense was exposed. Our depth at OG is absolutely woeful. It was embarassing watching ND getting shot putted into Ronnie Brown agasint the Ravens. Ironicly, it was the hardest hit on Brown all day.

Thanks about the intelligence thing....I think many would disagree with you, myself included..

He is physical in his efforts to make a catch when there is a defender present and seems to be fairly intelligent from an interview I watched of him. It's was pretty short but enough to feel pretty good about him.

You my friend are also assuming that they will not return 100%. You are also assuming that another year under a good staff will not lead to better results. Yes our depth is a concern, but not in the first 3 rounds. We need impact inthe first 3 rounds in my opinion.
