Lenny P. from Espn.com reported that Tampa requested a first round pick from the jets for Chris Simms when they came calling. Now, I think our first round pick will be lower than the jets but if possible would he look good in a dolphins uniform? He has the genes but never really wowed me at Texas.

No way. Are you joking....our 1st round pick for Chris Simms?
If we are going to spend a 1st rounder on a QB I would rather it be in the draft. There isnt a lot of blue chip material this year at the QB position other than Leinart and maybe Keller/Stanton if they come out, but there are certainly QBs as good as Simms.
 
It would be a dramatically poor decision to waste a 1st on Chris Simms. As you said he has the genetics for it, but unfortunately, he's missing just about everything else.
 
He was a 4th round pick and has proven little to anyone. Sure he looked alright when he stepped in for the Bucs last year but a first is ridiculous.
 
i would die laughing if the fins traded a 1st round pick for simms.

damn that would be funny.
 
If we could get Simms for a 3rd round or lower:tongue: pick after the season I would be all for giving the kid a shot. But I don't think he is worth anything over a third rounder.

hahaha, i wouldn't forfeit any more than a late 4th/early 5th round pick for simms. ridiculous.
