27. Miami Dolphins

No one seems to be expecting much out of the Dolphins this season. A year after being considered a Super Bowl favorite by several talking heads, the 'Phins are now generally being talked about as a bottom of the barrel NFL team. It's certainly been an odd off-season for Miami. The Saban debacle was followed by the Daunte Culpepper mess, a curious and unpopular draft, and a slew of off-the-field trouble  including problems for receivers Chris Chambers and Kelly Campbell, as well as DT Fred Evans and linebacker Joey Porter. Campbell and Evans were released, but Chambers and Porter remain with the squad.
With high expectations, the Dolphins finished the season 6-10 last year. With low expectations, there's hope they'll make a magic run to the AFC wild card. They'd be overcoming a lot in doing so.

That's a little low. There have to be more than 5 teams that are worse than us.

Not being a homer but right now I would rank the Phins around #20, and in our division I would rank the Patriots #3 overall, behind Indy #1 overall, and San Diego #2...I would put the Jets at around #16....The Bills I would put at around #27....I would put the Oakland Raiders at #32,,,,Jamarcus or no Jamarcus.

He's right about the low expectations. We always are bettewr when we're thought to be bad

Who cares. It's just one mans opinion. When it's all said and done we'll be much higher than that.

Yeah, this is why I pay no attention to these.
I can't wait for the angry fans to start bashing on this thread.

Detroit doesnt belong ahead of us.
The Bucs don't belong ahead of us.
The bills dont.
and im not exactly sure how the steelers are expected to do so much better this year

I'll take the over lol. No way we end up as the 5th worst team in the league. We're better than last year.

I rarely like the power rankings, and the biggest reason is that the reasoning that they use for the position is usually so misinformed or just flat out wrong. And if they do get something right, it rarely matches the ranking that they give.

Take the above "a curious and unpopular draft" declaration. I'm assuming that he's basing this characterization of the ENTIRE draft to passing on Quinn, regardless of who we actually did draft (considering all of the picks). Now, if you actually do look at the people that we drafted, I'd have to say that it appears to be one of the best drafts in many years.

I'd also like to know who is considering this an unpopular draft. I think most everyone around here is pumped about our draft, even those who did want Quinn. So even to say it's unpopular is, to me, misinformed or misled.
