Is there anyone else the thought Gus frerotte looked good enough to win the football game. There were multiple catches that should have been made especially the rocket that gus threw to chambers and he dove for it.  . He could have easily caught that ball if he didn't dive. Mcmichael dropped a few. Booker although a hard catch to make should have caught that 20 yd pass.

Another thing that was overlooked is that we did not establish a run game and tampa bay would drop seven back in coverage. Gus also did not through hardly any short passes besides a few screens. I wouldn't say Gus had a great day, but I wud say it was average.

Ill go with the...."we had our chance to win" theme.....and Gus looked...ehhh..ok. Not good but not bad.

Gus missed numerous big plays downfield that could have changed the momentum and possibly how the defense was playing us. He had too many passes that were not on the money. Had he hit those big passes to Chambers and Diamond, they may have had to drop more guys into pass coverage which would have opened up the running game.

yes, but he also had a few passes that were on the money and dropped. Also, the TD called back and a couple of other big plays called back that could have changed the game. Not a Gus supporter nor hater. Just agree with the original post. Had a chance.

If our receivers caught more passes than they dropped and Wicky picks up the blitz yes I think things would have been different for our O and in turn Gus.

But at the same time Gus is the leader of the O and he needs to find a way to inspire these men he plays with to live up to their potential.

there were several passes that should have been caught for 15+ yard gains. booker, chambers... droped passes that could have changed the game.

A QB is only as good as the players around him. Plain and simple
i thaught it was the other way around.

I would feel better if that pass to booker was actually to him. It is a hard catch to make to turn your body the opposite direction that you ar running.

Sometimes I think i'm watching a different Dolphins game than others. Gus hasn't been even a 'decent' QB since we played Carolina. He's been just plain bad. The receivers dropping the throws he actually does make, makes him look even worse. He just has no accuracy. I'm actually amazed he's thrown as few of picks as he has(6) when he could very easily have thrown more, with the amount of times he misses his receiver.

Isn't this the old Fiedler debate? He also missed wide open receivers and all we said was "he kept us in the game" or "he almost made the play"

Not good enough.

Yesterday was mostly on Gus.

A lot of us have been justifiably tough on Chambers but the overthrow was not his fault. Gus just isn't accurate on the long ball at all. We've seen it all year.
Chambers could not have "easily" made the catch if he kept running.

That's just Randy Cross being an idiot. Any lemming fan who buys that should watch the tape again.

Gus is also not seeing the field well judging by how many times he doesn't spot open recievers on third and short and how many times he forces the ball into coverage.

I hate to have to agree, but I do. Gus has played poorly since Carolina. Tampa had a shot at 2 picks yesterday but missed them. Chambers continues to do his circus thing and drop easier balls. Booker catches the sweet spot passes, but drops or misses when he has to fight for the ball. McMichael is the one that deserves special chastisement, as he continues to dissappear when we need him most.
