Plain and simple guys, the dude sucks. I can only remember ONE play where he exploded into the backfield and took down the runningback. ONE...

He takes horrible angles to the ball carrier, runs himself out of plays, whiffs as the ball carrier is going by. I have never seen a guy incapable of shedding his block and running vertically to the ball carrier or actually sealing off a gap in my life. That is someone we cannot have as the central focal piece of the linebacking core. Now maybe, as many other plays have, he may come around and compliment a true stud MLB that we need to draft in the upcoming draft.

I will support crowder as he is a dolphin but it is CLEAR he is NOT the answer. Ayodele is nothing but backup fodder as well.

With MJD, CJ, Slaton/Moats, Maroney, Mendenhall/Parker and the Klingon from buffalo on the schedule, we really have our work cut out for us against the run. MJD and CJ can singlehandedly beat us and add Vince Young to that and the Tenn game just go that much more difficult.

Also if Ferguson is injured and Soliai isn't healthy that REALLY hurts us.

However, crowder I am sorry man, but I cannot believe BP, JI and TS think he is the answer in the middle. The guy is sorry and he was embarrassed once again tonight along with ayodele.

To be honest I would like to see Crowder and Torbor out there. Akin is not playing like he did last year.
Crowder is nothing more then a serviceable ILB.

Nobody is saying to drop him. However he can be a backup or a complementary guy but it is pretty much confirmed that he is NOT the man in the middle that we thought he could be. I don't know what to tell you but the truth hurts. The guy is pretty bad.

He is always out of position, misses tackles all game long and is always getting stuck on blocks or NAILED by WR's blocking.

Akin is OK, Channing is just plain below average. Someone should make a LOW-light reel of all of Channing's missed tackles and all the plays where he gets blown up by WR's & send it to him for Christmas.

Truer words have never been spoken. For a guy that talks so much ****, he really sucks. I am sorry. He is a phin and I support him as a member of my dolphins but I really wonder if he would be starting on other teams in the NFL. It is just mind boggling to see a guy do what he does on a consistent basis.

Just because he is on the team doesn't mean he should be starting when he is a HUGE liability. I mean even when he is physically out there, he is a ghost. Put torbor in there and be done with it. Crowder single handedly probably was responsible for 50+ of Williams yards today.

I agree Crowder is limited but he does not suck, he is in the same spot Ginn was put in. That is expecting something from him that he can't do. If and that's a big IF, K.Dansby is available next offseason he will be signed at 12:00 midnight. Then Crowder gets to be used properly as a plug LBer, Dansby would be the flow. The play making LB'er that he is, now if he's not available then I would think R.McClain is our 1st pick.

I really hope we get Dansby and then draft Cody to shore up the middle for the next 6-8years.

Sorry man, he sucks. Missing gap assignments constantly and whiffing on tackles, pretty much means you suck. If it was an occasional occurrence, I could deal with that, as every player has a bad week.

When I watch the defense, I key in on crowder and just watch him get out of position on nearly every play. Do you know when he is good? When the ball carrier is already in trouble and he can reposition himself back into the play as if to make it look like he actually did something.

I concede the point that there wasn't much out there, however, I don't know how crowder keeps his starting gig. I get that fact that he was re-signed. I get the fact that he is surrounded by other one dimensional linebackers so maybe we don't see the real crowder when he is side-by-side with capable multi-dimensional teammates. However, right now, he should be benched.

Maybe when we get a good MLB next to him who can "hide" his faults, he will become an average MLB. Right now I am not sure that he would be starting on most NFL teams. He really makes bad choices out there but I guess that tells you about the scope of our depth at linebacker right now.

I am not even sure the great bellicheat would be able to harness the "good" out of him.
