But they just announced that Ken Whisenhunt is a possible candidate for the Miami Dolphins Head Coaching job. I'm guessing he may get a call soon for an interview. I'm crossing my fingers here, I really want this guy!

Well, technically every single assistant and fired HC and all college HCs are candidates. I'll go by scheduled interviews before getting excited.

It was already posted on Finheaven's front page, he looks like a Solid Candidate. For some reason I want to be stubborn and return to college only to get Bob Stoops. But Whisenhut seems like the perfect candidate..Solid background, resepectable reputation, come from a great Tree.

Every team out there has Whisenhunt's name circled.

Hopefully we get him. He'd be perfect...

 I'm all for Whisenhunt....

I just heard on 790 that Cameron / Carroll are being mentioned in Miami too....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

i don't like whisenhunt, same thing as mike mularkey. their O didnt do too great this year when they lost the bus did they? i think most of their offensive success is based on russ grimm (o line coach) and the fact they have had a great o-line over hte years along with a HOF runningback (bettis). i like cameron, though. definately not carroll, why would we go for another nick saban?

exactly. Lets not forget the last Pitt. OC that got an HC job was Mularkey. Their offense is pretty simple and always has been. It is just based on having a good offensive line and being able to run the entire game since the defense won't allow any blowouts.

If we are talking about Pete Carroll definately not. At least Saban was more of an NFL coach in college. Carroll is a career college coach who has already tried the big show once before and didn't exactly do too well. Oh yeah and having Palmer, Leinhart, Bush, Mike Williams, Dwayne Jarrett, LenDale White and plenty of others doesn't hurt either. He is more of a benefactor of talent than he is a good coach.

Cameron would be alright a Ryan brother would be alright, but bottom line is I really don't think we are picking from the best coaching pool this year. Maybe that is just me though.

Great coaches are made by great players. THE single most important thing we need to address is finding a GM that can find those great players.

I think Whisehunt should be our guy.Wayne knows this if your read the front page it says Wayne is willing to meet with him at whatever location.Pitt wont give him huge money,we will.If Wayne feels tis is our guy he will do everything in his power...

i agree with that. had we gotten brees this year i think the dolphins would've gotten 9-11 wins, maybe more, and saban would've been looked at as a genius. however, we got DC, he's still hurt and joey harrington is good backup quarterback. we have an underachieving TE and WR and ronnie brown was hurt for a couple key games. i think had we won 10-11 games this year and made the playoffs saban would be here and everyone would be LOVING him.

i'm telling you guys, whisenhunt is not good for our team. i would much rather have a cam cameron or the other steeler coach up for a job, russ grimm. and i know everyone wants an offensive minded coach but JIM BATES is the man lets not forget about that.
