Anderson had a couple of false start penalties but I'll offer two different observations. The first is that the o-line was going on a silent snap count, that takes a little bit of adjustment and to a player who is new to an offense can be difficult. Also if you saw the game in the Tampa market you heard Jaworski observe that Rex Hadnot was not snapping the ball on time at certain points. This also tends to cause false starts. So let's not jump on Bennie Anderson too much just yet. I admit I was a little alarmed at first too, but I thought they settled down nicely and especially when you factor in the silent count and Hadnot still picking up playing center, I'll chalk it up to growing pains.
As for the secondary, that's going to be a weakness all year. I think it will get better, but face it we're spoiled. All of us are used to Madison, Surtain, Marion and Knight/Walker. That's a pretty tough act to follow. I think Jason Allen will be fine once he gets his confidence, Will Allen catches too much flak as is and the rest of the secondary will eventually gel and become serviceable. I wouldn't freak out too much over two preseason games where a bunch of reserves who may not even make the team got torched by David Garrard and Bruce Gradkowski.
