I know that it's only day 1 of TC but...

All along it looked like Frerotte would end up being the starter, but I am starting to think Feeley may get the job. You can't argue against his talent. The guy has a very good arm and I just read an interview with Linehan where he said "he has exceptional talent as far as throwing the ball." He will have to prove he can make good decisions though. I also remember a quote from Al Wilson last year where he said Feeley can definitely make it in the league and said something like he had a great arm. One thing he has going for him is he has one of the best QB teachers in the league in Linehan. I am in no way a Feeley lover and I know having a good first day of practice really means nothing, but hopefully this guy can become the player Rick Speilman though he was getting when he traded a 2nd round pick for him. If he does we may have more than a caretaker that everyone was expecting at that position.

all of our skill position players are studs( even the backups ex:ricky & Boston)

I won't applaud anything that cites either QB playing poorly. No matter who you'd rather see win (I'm with AJ there), this team will very likely play both at points in the year due to injury or another reason.
Since I was the one that threw some applause to AJ, I feel like I should point out to you that it had nothing to do with Frerotte. :)

That's good to know. I have no problem with anybody cheering AJ for his performance, but this report is also bad for Gus. I know you'd agree that nobody here should want bad things for Gus.

My wish is not for Gus to play bad, but for Feeley to play so well that he wins the job outright. That is what I'm hoping for and believing will happen.

i hope wifebeater goes to the pro bowl because hes the second best tight end in the nfl behind antonio gates. Jeremy Shockey is injury prone and overrated
Right, because Tony Gonzalez is just a nobody.

who cares if he had the most receptions the best tight end is antonio gates (most tds by a tight end ever) and then wifebeater
They threw to him a lot in the endzone, Gonzalez is a million times better and has proved it on a consistent basis whereas Gates has had one great year.

I agree completley. I really want to see AJ do well and become the starter. However, just as when Jay was starting, I will root for him and not wish anything bad upon him. AJ may be my guy, but Sabans the coach of my team not me. I'll cheer for almost anyone who is behind our center.

Actually the best news I'm hearing out of Day 1 is that Carey held his own against both J.T. and Bowens. That's awesome without pads as usually the Defense owns the Offense early on.

Like I've been saying Carey has the talent he just needs that lightbulb to go on over his head. It's all mental.

Agreed 100%, and I said this earlier.
