Well, the man does appear to be a sharp dresser.

Seriously, Hickey's main job in this power structure is to acquire the talent that will put the Dolphins in the best position to succeed under Philbin/Lazor/Coyle's philosophy. While I don't have any insight into the inner workings of the Phins FO, it did not seem that Ireland was all that concerned with doing that. Example: Dion Jordan. Love the guy, think he could be a game-changing athlete, but he was not a great fit for Coyle's scheme.

I have this suspicion that Ireland and the coaching staff simply were not on the same page last year. That seems to be different now.

Liked him from the start. Read this bio when interviewing for GM position. I was hopeful he would be picked and he was. We will not regret that decision.

Ha very true. Although I really like what he's done so far. I think we'll get a good draft class.
