Blast me!!!!

I like the fact he has BALLS. Goes after what he wants and at the same time wont overpay for just anyone. Yet will cut you quick if you dont perform. We still have more talent on this team now then we have had in 10 years. What is this year 4? Im still with him. Henne didnt work out. Lets try again. QB makes everyone look better. When you dont have a QB, you need a coach. Sparano/Henne didnt have the will to score TD's. Ireland has provided a solid team minus a few spots.

Guys like Vontae Davis who is very good, yet still shows potential to become even better.

Dansby who is underrated around the internet world.

Reggie Bush who appears to be hitting his prime.

Jared Odrick 1st round pick injured year 1, yr 2 rotates and looks promising.

Keeping Solia from the previous regime and has turned into a stud.

Wake from CFL TOP 5 pass rusher.

Jake Long

Mike Pouncey looked impressive....altho I still worry about fumbled snaps. Not sure if that was Moore or Pouncey.

Sean Smith still has tons of potential. As long as he keeps his head straight he will be fine. How hard he works will go into how good he can become.

Charles Clay looked very good when the oppurunities were there.

I could keep goin with very good pieces on this team. Talent is here and I feel comfortable giving Ireland more shots to find the QB. We will find out if Philbin has it.

Many non Dolphin fans told me last year, man they got a good team. Henne/Sparano wasnt the guys to lead the team. I trust Ireland to find the ones.

Ireland keeps it real. He just dont like talking about it to the media.

I made a thread about this earlier. We have Reggie Bush and Cameron Wake. Besides them, how many game changing play makers do we have that change the complexity of the game with one play Who is our Larry Fitzgerald, Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, ect.?

Besides Larry Fitzgerald the Cards don't really have that game changer either. Maybe Patrick Peterson, but those are really the only ones I can think of for them.

Yes but Arizona is not a great team either. My point is Ireland plays it safe too much. He needs to start making more risks and get some play makers. Building the offensive line is fine, but it doesn't mean much if you don't have play makers.

the problem with your argument is the fact that since this team went 11-5 in 08 we have steadily regressed under Irelands watch, he is too conservative and has adopted that philosphy from parcells, he likes to play it "safe", instead of taking matt ryan we went with long, we took pouncy over ingram, he took misi right before gronk was taken, he traded down and took odrick when he could of stayed and got pierre paul who is a straight monster, he took vontae davis and the very next pick was clay matthews, he took pat white and lesean mccoy was taken only a few picks later, missed on jimmy graham, jacoby ford, ed dickson, he plays it too safe and his ability to identify talent and playmakers is poor, yes he added some solid guys but we should be much farther along than we are right now, and lets not forget eric green, wilford, smiley, gibril wilson, those were all ireland/parecells moves, too many misses for me sorry

Developing players and drafting solid talent is different. Good teams have good coaches who can develop and create talent, something that only a coach and not a GM can do.

Most teams only have a few game changers. We have a few IMO. Bush, Davis, Dansby, Wake.

Burnett is pretty darn close too. Would just like to see him continue where he left off. Same way he played on the Chargers.

What we need is a QB who can get 25 TD's. Lol but thats not easy.

I wasn't arguing with your post, I was just pointing out that the Cards shouldn't be considered at eam with a ton of playmakers.

but he still has missed big time on a lot of picks, I don't think mike smith is anymore better of a coach than sparano is, but he has a franchise QB in Ryan and having a franchise QB can always cover up for poor coaching, Smith is not an X's and O's guy, he is a rah rah guy like sparano, if we took Ryan over Long I bet things would be looking a lot better right now

I want Ireland to:

1.) Make the QB position the #1 priority. It's the most important position yet he keeps ignoring it.

2.) Draft play makers. Enough with first round linemen. Get somebody who can change the whole game in one play.

3.) Build through the draft. All our play makers were brought in as FAs or trades.

We have little to no cap, yet how many GREAT players do we have?

Except if your name is Marc Colombo. You can't tell me there wasn't a single street free agent available last season that couldn't have played better than that turnstile did. His horrible play lost games.

My point is that someone like Fitzgerald can change the whole game in one play. Yah Arz is a bad example.

I don't think he's ignoring the QB position, with the time he's been the full time decision maker he's really only had the choice between Mallett(who he said he did try to trade back up for later in the draft) Henne Orton and Moore, he tried to upgrade it this year but Manning said no, Philbin said he didn't feel Flynn was going to be that franchise QB, and Alex Smith only wanted to come to Miami becuase "he's never been here before"

So I don't think he's ignoring the QB position but since he's now known as a bad GM people don't want to come here. Honestly with the way this franchsie is going we're lucky to even get Garrard.
