I certainly don't hate him. Especially like a "Nazi" as some on this board have called him and compared him too.Unreal!
 
I think alot of this hatred toward ireland comes from hindsight being 20/20. I wish i had the crystal ball you guys look into that tells you ryan would've been the savior at qb. How do oyu all know ryan would've been successfull here. Young qb are very much a product of the system they are in. Do you really think brady gets those rings without bellichecks system.

How many playmakers did GB have outside of Rogers Jennings and Nelson?

How many playmakers did New England have outside Brady and Gronk?

How many did New York Jets have? They basically bought out every playmakers in the market when they become available and they go nowhere.

When we went to the playoffs in 2008 we basically had 0 playmakers outside of Ronnie Brown and Joey Porter.

When we got "playmaker" Brandon Marshall, we sucked.

Yeah Franchise Quarterback who ****s the bed everytime the first round of the playoffs come around. Smith built a solid team for Ryan and Ryan always ends up doing nothing in the playoffs.

Why does everyone think Ryan would have been our franchise guy? He is a good regular season QB, but he hasn't done anything in the playoffs and has had more talent in Atl to work with. Yes, he has made the playoffs 3 out of 4 years, but he hasn't won a single playoff game. He has a 64% completion percentage, but has only thrown for 584 yards and has 3 TDs with 4 Ints.

Mike Pouncey looked impressive....altho I still worry about fumbled snaps. Not sure if that was Moore or Pouncey.

Sean Smith still has tons of potential. As long as he keeps his head straight he will be fine. How hard he works will go into how good he can become.

Charles Clay looked very good when the oppurunities were there.

I could keep goin with very good pieces on this team. Talent is here and I feel comfortable giving Ireland more shots to find the QB. We will find out if Philbin has it.

Many non Dolphin fans told me last year, man they got a good team. Henne/Sparano wasnt the guys to lead the team. I trust Ireland to find the ones.

Ireland keeps it real. He just dont like talking about it to the media.

Wait, this is getting confusing. He gets credit for the good moves made while Parcells was here but had nothing to do the bad moves that were made while Parcells was here? Every time we have this discussion (which is a lot), anybody that criticizes him is told that any moves made before this past year were not made by him. You can't pick and choose which were his during that godawful era.

True. If you want to give Ireland all the credit for the good moves, you have to include the bad moves as well. I personally feel that Parcells had more control when he was here and should be given more credit for the moves good and bad from 2008 - 2010. Ireland had total control in 2011, so he deserves all the credit for the 2011 draft good and bad. It wasn't an outstanding draft, but I thought it was a solid one. Most people complain that we didn't draft any playmakers in the first, but what playmaker should we have drafted at #15 that was a need and wouldn't have been a reach? The only guy drafted in the first round that fits that bill is maybe Ingram. 13 teams didn't pick him after the Dolphins passed. It is easy to play Monday morning QB, but overall I thought it was a good draft. It will take a few years to see how good or bad it really was.

We'll see how his next draft goes in a little over a month now.

Pouncey was a solid pick, but only a necessary pick because Ireland and Co. traded Satele for nothing and failed with his replacement (Grove). There weren't many offensive playmakers outside of Mallett and possibly Baldwin (without hindsight), but there were plenty of pass rushers available, and some DBs.
 
like him or not, the way he is viewed troughout the NFL does more harm than good to the Miami organization
