I think this guy can really trow the football.I don't care what system they're running out there, this guy can play.I have to admit that I can't watch as much college football as I'd like cos I work saturdays but I'm watching the replay of the USC-Fresno ST game and this guy has a great arm and yet he also has a nice touch on the short to medium passes.I think someone said that he's just a west coast offence QB but I think he can be more than that.If this guy's there in the 2nd round I'd happy if we'd draft him tho I like Cutler too.The thing I like about Pinegar is that he seems to be in comand and playing against a great team is not bothering him at all.I know is just one game but he's got the numbers too.

You obviously havent gotten to the second half of that game then, because in a college system he threw 3 picks and had a fumble, what do you think will happen in the NFL. In the same system he is far below the talent of david carr.

You're right, I haven't seen the whole game yet but he did trow the ball well in the first half and he's won 3 bowl games.Keep in mind that he's playing a great team but I'm not saying he's the second coming anyway and like I said, I won't pretend I know it all cos I can't watch as many games as I'd like.I guess the fact that we need a QB so bad could cloud wha I see.

I don't know, the guy did throw 4 ints in that game including on what would've been the game tying drive. Pinegar is very smart and has a decent arm but doesnt put much zip on the ball. His release is slow and he's not very mobile. I just dont see him having much of a career in the NFL.

1.yes he threw those INTs but he also played amazing in the first half if you want to judge him off of 1half of football fine but look at the half before it and you will se what he has done through his career
2.he is not in the same system carr was

he did throw those ints but without his amazing 1st half play they wouldve never been in a position to win....he has a better arm than that game showed he has bruised ribs and a shoulder injury he suffered vs. oregon.
 
usually when a QB plays that well against a great team, they're rewarded. somehow pinegar isn't

he was inconsistent, but overall had a great game against them. he had a similar game against them like sam keller
 
I live in fresno, now I do root against them but only because I dont like pinegar. Carr was so much better and his team let him down otherwise fresno would have been undefeated his senior season instead of loosing those 2 games. Pinegar his first year was horrible. Then this year he consistnetly has an int in a game. He may have 3 TDs but there is always an int. And the 3 bowl games were against crap teams. Last year it was a UCLA team that was 4th in there divison and had a loosing record. I watch plenty of there games and I think if they had a more consistent QB they would be winning more. That USC game he threw 3 game ints in the red zone or close to it. 2 were to tie the game.

And yeah you are right carr was here with tetford as the OC but it was same pat hill strategy that pinegar plays in. He is not what we want for a QB. He will be another fiedler. First half was phenomenal but the the 2nd half was all the more abysmal.

I think Fresno did a hell of a job to be able to tie it regardless of 3 ints. It just was that 4th that did em in. Remind anyone of the dolphins earlier this year.

i agree the team carr was on let him down(he also shoulda won the heisman)....now pinegar has only thrown ints in half the games hes played in not all he pretty much doubled his INT total vs the best team in the country and also with a amazing 1st half gave his team a chance to beat maybe the greatest college football team ever...and last year they played virginia in the bowl game(not a horrible team) and pinegar smoked them(235yds 5tds 0ints)pinegar is consistent he wins consistently...tedford was running the O when he was there not pat hill...to say he will be another feidler is a joke...comparing that game to a dolphins game is rediculous pinegar put them in a position to win the game in the first place miami hasnt had a qb that could do that since marino.....blame pinegar all you want and he deserves some and he has taken it publicly but if he woulda played average and threw 0ints we woulda got smoked pinegar put them in that game judging what his pro career will be off of 1half is insane how about judging it off of the oregon game or the virgina or the other dozen games he has been great in and WON he lost to the best coll football team ever now all the sudden he is garbage please.
 
Guess I just built a bias against him early. Plus all the years getting excited seeing them get close then seeing them lose an easy game is annoying. Your right though I havent watched many of there games this year, but I did see USC and Oregon. And USC game was his fault they lost. Then again if they had contained bush he wouldnt have had to force throws.

Guess Ill start watch the last 2 games and liberty bowl and then make my decision on him, a more informed less bias position. Would rather have Matt Linehart, want the phins to get him even if it takes a 1st and a 2nd.

trust me im tired of seeing them get close and loosing the easy ones also but i think those days r gone pat hill is gonna make this team good for years to come i wish theyd kick like washington or oregon state out of the pac10 and put fresno st in there...and belive me i would rather have leinart also and would do anything(realisticly) to get him...but if thats not possible id love to get pinegar or cutler or someone to bring in as our own not someone elses garbage.
