Seems like Saban not only is building a future with a good draft but, also is looking to be quite competitive this year! If we get improved line play, I think we can easily win 8 or 9 games this year.. Can't wait for the season to start!

I am really happy with the job Saban has down in the FA market and draft. He is really building something special here. Next offseason should even be more fun with potentially more cap room and more draft picks.

Idk if you can get a more fun offseason lol. Wanny fired and we get Saban is enough to make my offseason but then We've gotten Ronnie, Boston, Roth, Crowder, Seau is coming back and soo much more. If next offseason beats this WOW. The only really bad thing is losing Poole. Surtain had to go and we got Roth to make up for him. This offseason has been pretty darn great.

He hasn't made a move yet that I've seriously questioned.

CHanning CRowder has already said that he shouldn't even be walking with all of the knee troubles that he has had.
Saban has said that IF he didn't have the question marks about his health he would have been picked earlier...
No kidding.
The guy is a huge risk. Too big of a risk to be taken in the first half of the draft by a four win team.
Saban could have avoided this guy...but didn't.

I guess if we look hard enough we can all find something to whine about.

Sometimes you gotta take the chance on getting a talents player. That shows that Saban has the balls to do something like. Which means he likes to take chances and that is what i like about Saban.

I agree with ever move he has made so far and will agree with whatever he does here on out I especially loved our draft picks

Maybe some of us aren't 'homers' that agree on every single move that Saban makes....
Or is Saban a 'god' to you already?

Sometimes you have to take that chance. This seems like a better chance than Wanny could make. Let's just see the way this one plays out. I think we will come out on top with this pick. I am hoping anyway. Nevertheless I just hope the Fins have a good season.

I think 8 wins is within the scope of realistic expectations; 9 is kind of pushing it, but not impossible. Hell, who knows.

Wow i couldnt disagree more. Its a 3rd rounder there is no for sure thing even in the top 10 pix, and were talkin about the 70th pick. Why would taking a bit of a gamble on the highest ranked mlb coming out of college(by most sites) in the 3rd round be a bad move? Crowder was my favourite pick of this draft.

And just because someone disagrees with you doesn't make them a homer. That's the whine of someone with nothing to back it up.

If Channing was healthy he was a sure fire 1st rounder. Picking him up in the 3rd and letting him develop behind Zach is a low risk position cause it gives him a year or 2 to groom into Zach's replacement and not have to take too much of a pounding his first couple years.

Saban had an excellent draft and the only questionable pick I could see was Alabi in the 5th since that's a real project type pick.
