The original Wildcat was heavily weighted to the right side (Ricky Williams with a running start to the right).

With the Cobbs reverse option, now it's..

- Ronnie Brown up the middle.
- Ricky Williams, with a running start to the right.
- Patrick Cobbs, with a running start to the left.

It could stretch the field a bit horizontally, and prevent defenses from cheating over to one side.

They took Pennington off the field completely on this play. The first time they have done that this year I believe.

And that is still nothing . . . we have alot left out of that formation, which we need to use in the right situations. We can officially be eliminated from the NFL season/playoffs next Sunday . . . so best believe we are going to bring out all of the tricks.

I hope we start seeing "all these formations and plays" out of the Wildact this last weekend. This isn't the time to be conservative. This is what you save this stuff for. Big games. Seems like they do the same thing every play. Time to change it up.. like perhaps using someone else behind centre.

Nice to see Samson getting downfield with a lovely block to spring Cobbs.

i did see that as well. i have been paying attention more to this o-line now since Jake Long has been drafted...but that was a heck of a block to get Cobbs further down field. Samson Satele should be in the pro bowl...just like Jake Long IMO...what a game yesterday!

He was also downfield on the Ted Ginn reverse . . . Samson may not be the ideal Center on this team to some people . . . but he definitely can fit in at Guard, I know his ability to pull on this line probably is better than Smiley even. U saw Big Sam moving his *** off yesterday.

It was nice to see Henning realize that running Ronnie up the middle every single time out of wildcat wasn't working so well :D

I reallllly hope to see us unleash it vs the Jets if we start going down a few points
