Nice Article.

Look at the Dolphins line that will start at Seattle on Sunday in the regular-season opener. It this group too young? No. Is it a group of over-the-hill vets? No. Are there high draft picks in the group? Yes. Are there Pro Bowl players in the group? Yes.
Is there a glaring problem with this unit that everyone on Earth except the Dolphins recognizes? Actually, unlike past years, no.
Has every single player in that group enjoyed NFL success at one point or another? Well, rookie first-round pick Laramy Tunsil has not. But, get this, he's a rookie. He's about to make his NFL debut Sunday. So asking him to show his NFL cred is kind of unfair. What Tunsil can show anyone who wonders is his work since the start of training camp in July. He won a job after being the team's second player on their draft board in April. He was not gifted that job. He won it.

i do too, and i think it will have a bigger impact on the win/loss column than people on this board are giving credit for

You've got two tackles playing Guard. Contrary to popular belief players can't just switch positions, or switch sides for that matter, and magically be great at it from the start. It takes time, there is a learning curve. I'm willing to wait and see how Tunsil develops. His progress has been impressive so far. Bushrod I'm not entirely sold on yet.

He did mention they have to become better run blockers, that's something they've got to work on big time.

Is Dallas Thomas starting? Then why you crying? Just kidding but seriously... as long as Dallas Thomas does not play we should be ok.

So nice to see a positive article on our 0-line. My hope is that the preseason gave them the ability to work out the bugs. I want our team to score points. With this protection it surely places the offense on Tannehill. Absent bad route running or dropped balls, Ryan's throws are all on him. Now it's time to see what he's got. Sink or swim.

I do too. It's hard to believe how ****ty the Dolphins OL has been for the past 10 years even. I feel like they will definitely give Ryan plenty of time for the first time in his NFL career (like a standard amount for any other starting QB).

Last year they could not run block or pass block, this year they have been able to do one of those things much better then last year. Some progress is better then no progress, and with game planning, they could still run better then they showed in pre-season.

Blasphemy! I read on here all the time it would be no big deal to kick Albert to LG.

They will be better at protecting Tannehill when the offense is forced into obvious passing situations, which will be often. So it will be nice to see an oline do its job even when the defense knows exactly what's coming. I'm not excited about the run blocking. Maybe Gase can put in a run package every now and then that this line might handle.

If they preform as well as the preseason with pass protection or better, then I agree with you.

I got to see Steen in a big spot. I do not think Pouncey being out is part of the plan.

Plus, the Cowboys and Falcons have nonexistent pass rushers. I am not sure much is solved yet. The first two weeks will tell a ton.

No question the personnel has been upgraded, but I also think Week 2 and 3 of the preseason had some anemic pass rushes.

Not sure if I am as giddy as Mando. Lots of work to be done and "his" line as he puts it actually had Pouncey at Center.

I refuse to drink the kool-aid until I know it's not made with vinegar!

... But it sure does look tasty! :)
