man let me say something without our d-line playing the way they did we do not win 9 games ill tell you that.we lost tim-bo and chester and still were strong up front they have some miles but i love the addition of k.carter and v.holliday and also traylor he was a force up front.we need to keep these players and also i hope m.roth comes around i think he hit the rookie wall and im expecting a big year from him and well j.t. i expect even a bigger year considering he played hurt most of the year.:dolphins:

I like it too, but I think we need another young wide body (through the draft). A 3/4 nose tackle.

Traylor at NT, with Carter and Holliday at DE's could hold us back for a couple of years. I think Traylor still has about 2 in him, and Carter and Holliday have about 4. If we could pick up some young talent in the draft our defensive line could be one of the best in the NFL for some time.

Manny and Vickerson are beasts. They have the size and talent to play NT and some good mentors. I love the shape our line is in if we resign Holliday.

I see Manny Wright possibly moving to DE in the future. He is athletic enough to play the DE in the 3-4, and not strong enough to play the NT in the 3-4.

A valid point, but it has nothing to do with thise thread... why post it?

I hope we keep them for another year. It's fun to watch them play, specially when they destroy the oline of the opposing team.

Do you know Manny's size not many people play anything but NT or DT at his size and weight. As far as strength what makes you think he isn't a stud? Manny is only what 20? Kevin is already a stud and Kevin Carter was giving him nothing but praise. I guess Dominizzo posted that because it made more since than downplaying our D-line.

I never once said anything about them not being a stud. I just said that Manny does not have the strength to play NT. He reminds me of a Richard Seymour-type. Vickerson can continue to play at NT. I do think both of these guys will be great, and I hope they do succeed.

its my opinion And with your 12 lil posts and newcomer that you are Rspect members

DL is the #2 strongest area on our team after RB. We do need a little youth at DE though. DT appears to be set though :)

My post count has nothing to do with my knowledge. I can teach a monkey to sit and type 50 posts a day, that is irrelivant. I understand it is your opinion. Hell, I share the opinion. But this thread is referring to keeping the D-line around, and how the poster is satisified with the D-line. So when you come in posting...

... you aren't really making any sense. Those two ideas really have nothing to do with the basis of this post.

I agree completely.

Manny was playing good late in the year and as I have said he is the youngest guy on our team. One offseason and alot of the baby fat can turn to stone. What the original post was about was what good shape our line is in if we resign one or two people which is ridiculous to argue about. Our money should be spent in other areas is what people are saying and almost everyone will agree.

Actually, even if it means losing someone I'd like to see us go after Grady Jackson to compliment Traylor...He's younger by 4 years and would probably be here for a few years...but I also liked the way the DL played last year. Hopefully Vickerson and Wright will blossom some this year. My guess is that Zgonina will retire...
