a friend of mine whom i have known since i was 5 and has also known that i'm a dolphins fan since i can remember, just yesterday introduced me to his great uncle who was a dolphin. his name is ed weisacosky, he played LB for the fins in the late 60's. he told me some of the greatest stories i've ever heard. after talking to him i did a little research: he played for the fins from 1968 to 1970, and played college ball at da U as well. in '69 he recorded 3 interceptions. unfortunately they did not record tackles (and am i mistaken or did they not have sacks as a statistic back then?) he played in '67 for the giants and in '71 and '72 with the (sigh) patriots. he told me he still kicks himself for going to NE for more money and not getting the chance to play in miami in '72. it was an amazing experience listening to him talk about don shula being hired and about nick buoniconti. i asked him about larry czonka and mercury morris and larry little, and he said "well...they played offense". which i found funny, i guess they didn't mingle much. but he did have a few things to say about them too. anyway, it was a truly amazing experience and i thought i would share it. i really feel like a better dolphin fan because of it.
i found an old card of his online too= http://www.footballcardgallery.com/1970+Topps/262/
