I walked into a Walgreens and he was doing a presentation for some product and I got a photo with him! It was super ****ing cool to meet him!
I met Dan Marino today!!!!!!

thats pretty cool bro, i met sam madison walkin around a plaza one day. I can only imagine meeting marino though lol.

Yeah it was awesome...I actually just met Madison the other day at the Draft Party. He's another Dolphin great, hands down.

Congrats! I got a Marino rookie card and signed ball for Christmas a few years back. Sits proudly in my man cave.
Glad he took the time to take a picture with you and your kids. I've heard rumors he's been a bit of a tool with other fans on this site, so maybe he's mellowing out as he gets older.

I met Dan Marino years ago while he was still playing. My friend and I were at Markham Park target range, and we saw him in the parking lot. He was walking past us in the parking lot and when I spoke to him, he stopped, asked us how we did on the range, and signed a used football I had in the trunk of my car.
Very cool.
During those days he had the reputation of being snobbish, but not at all toward us. Being 6'5", I was very surprised how tall he was. He looked taller than 6'5".

That's cool. I have seen John Elway a couple times at different places here in Colorado, but never talked to him. I have gotten to talk to some former Broncos like Tom Jackson, Louis Wright, Randy Gradishar and Karl Mecklenburg. My mom met former Bronco's coach Wade Phillips, and she said, "Aren't you Phillip Wade?" She was close. I also have heard some people say that Marino can be kind of a jerk with some people, but he probably gets tired of people getting in his face for an autograph, like when he is sitting down to a quiet dinner with his wife. But that's kind of the price that comes with fame.
