So I'm honered to say I met Hall Of Fame running back Floyd Little tonight, he spoke at a St. Judes charity dinner, he actually was wearing his HOF jacket and I took a picture with him, I stared at his jacket for a good few seconds lol there are only 258 of those jackets in the whole world so I was pretty privileged to be standing next to one. Well anyway, he was very personable and we spoke for a good 2 minutes and I told him I'm a diehard Phins fan and asked him how he felt that the Bronco's signed Manning, Floyd played for the Broncos his whole career and his name is right next to Elway's on the ring of fame in the stadium, but he he thinks it was a horrible move that the Bronco's got Manning and he is dissapointed in "John" and he called "John" and tried to talk him out of it, I'm sure he means John Elway, he said it's a good thing the Dolphins didn't get Manning because Manning is a "rolls royce with no gas." He said to give a 36 year old QB coming off 4 neck surgeries $96 million is insane, he also said if Manning doesn't win a Super Bowl then the Broncos just flushed $96 million down the drain. I figured I would share this with you guys, I thought it was pretty cool that I got to discuss the Dolphins with an NFL HOFer and legend.

Just another man's opinion. No one knows what's going to happen, 5 years from now if Elway isn't in the front office anymore, that means it was a bad deal.

Man:

Awesome post, thanks for the info. A rolls royce with no gas, that makes a lot of sense.

GO PHINS~!

It depends, what year Rolls Royce is it? I would take a 2012 Rolls Royce with an empty take anytime.

Ahahahaha...that's priceless. Thanks for sharing. Completely agree with him.

^ this... Everyone has opinions but they're just that opinions no one knows

This is destined to work out good for the Broncos.... history has bitch slapped us constantly.

This is no surprise. Everyone knew Manning was a risk. Personally, I was willing to see the Phins offer him a fair, incentive laden deal when he became available.
I was surprised at the level of interest he received and the circus atmosphere surrounding him. I was also surprised at the level of compensation the bidding escalated to. At the contract he received, it was too much of a risk IMHO.
I have a feeling this will blow up in the Broncos faces. Elways hasn't proven a thing as a FO guy and ex-players aren't always the most objective.
Elway thinks he can just go out and buy a championship. Only time will tell.

I think he is more like a poorly made Chinese made bobble head doll that was just mounted on Malcolm Smith's Jumper High VW's dashboard before he ran and won the 1975 Baja 1000. Manning will not complete the year and is a total idiot for returning to a brutal sport with a spinal cord injury. Now that's my opinion.
