I think Miami would have been better served keeping Dan Campbell as their coach. The team wouldn't be flashy but I doubt that they would have thrown when they only had a yard or two to make for a first down. I also don't think there would be as many stupid bubble screens. Campbell would have also had the balls to tell Tannebaum that Tannehill was not the answer.

Dan Campbell coupled with a pair of decent coordinators would indicate a return to sound fundamental football. Give me a head coach that provides enthusiasm and discipline coupled with a Personnel manager who builds from the offensive and defensive lines outward.

Similarly, I would recommend a strategy now reflected in my new updated signature.

i do as well, he wouldn't have gotten cute on a crucial third and one play. i am not opposed to play action there but the QBs execution was terrible, on the tv feed it looked like he had ample room to run for the first down rather then float up an underthrown duck on the run to stills.

Let's not get crazy now. Campbell is about as cerebral as my pet turtle. The thing I hate about Gase is the perception he gives off to our fans. He comes off as a cool and calm guy who's relatively articulate so they relate him to Belichick somewhat due to his personality. When in reality Belichick football IQ and normal IQ is probably twice as high as Gase. Gase looks smart but his play calling is no better than Sparano, bless his soul.

I liked him, but no. Not as a head coach. At least not yet. I'm done with the experiments. We need someone proven (but not too old) to come in and give this team an entire new identity. I don't want anyone who doesn't have HC experience -- at least someone who has done something substantial in a Power 5 conference in college football. What are the odds of finding the next McVay.... THIS team?

I'm all for paying him a year's salary to see him get into the ring/cage with Gase though. That self-entitled prick needs an ass whooping and Man Campbell is just the guy to do it.

Meh. Campbell's team played well in 2 games and then sucked just Gase's team has lately. Sure he might have had a tougher team with a run first mentality. Would Campbell have fixed the issues with the offensive line? I don't know but it is doubtful.Staying commited to running the ball would have helped though. Who would Campbell have signed or drafted to replace Tannehill?

Exactly! Campbell would have not put up with the BS penalties and I bet that we would be the most physical team on the field.
