Is there any wonder why this situation has become a prime time soap opera? Look at this board. Even the "fans" are talking about almost nothing except the Jonathan Martin situation. It has become drama-central. No wonder the media circus will make us the 2013 version of the New Orleans Saints Bounty-Gate. No wonder this will be a nuclear bomb to this proud and beloved franchise. No wonder attendance will take a hit to the point where it may make sense to ownership to move the Dolphins out of Miami. Even the fans are more interested in drama than football. A few bad players or coaches never ruined us in the past, and we shouldn't let it ruin us now.

I remember when we used to talk about football. I remember when we used to support the Miami Dolphins. I miss those days. I miss football.

It's almost like Martin had the Monday after the New England game circled on his calendar. What better time to spread his agend and drag the franchise through the mud than back to back prime time games and 11 days between said games. IMO, Martin and Incognito are both POS and neither is welcome back on the team

I agree 100%...Sports entertainment bites...I miss the NFL I grew up with that just involved the team I liked playing hard every week.

The USFL was just 2 decades ahead of its time. If it were to start again today things might turn out different.

What's football??? I could swear this is a forum about bullying, politics, and some dudes named Martin and Incognito.

Nah, he did it now because he got demoted from LT to RT. But I hear ya.

This is an ironic post. Say you miss football talk but then start another thread about Richie-Gate.

You want to talk football? Start a thread about the players we do have ready to play Monday night.

This topic has flared up way beyond simply a player character issue and the media is looks ng to turn it into a franchise crippling disaster. I have opinions on the player character issue as well, but I fear this is the eye of the storm. The most ferocious franchise-destructive winds are close ... we just haven't felt them hit yet.

We can't influence the national media. But we can keep this in perspective and NOT reward Omar and Mando when they tear down our franchise. IMHO, this is the time we need to rally behind the team, and prove that the Dolphins and football are bigger than typical Jerry Springer media.

Amen.

Ive been wanting to do a Get Real thread on how much Tannereach blows, but it would be the only football related post on the forum right now.
