I would first like to say I hope all in well in South Florida right now. I am leaving in 13 days for the New England game and would like to know how the power situation is down there. I have also heard that there is another storm brewing up as we speak. Is there any news on the new woman terrorizing my favourite State. Please let me know of and info that could help me in preparing for this trip and I wish you all well. (Yes I will be sure to bring a raincoat). Thanks

its not a woman anymore, this hurricane is named "beta" once they reach 21 storms, (the 21st being wilma), they switch to the greek alphabet.

I'm not certain about Miami-Dade but Broward got hammered. And Dolphins Stadium is awfully close to Broward.

And Hurricane Beta ( :shakeno: ) is going to hit Nicaragua/Honduras.

In about two weeks pretty much all of miami-dade should be powered. Your hotel will definately have power. I wouldnt worry about another storm hitting south florida while you are visiting. It can happen but that late in the season it is just not that likely.

Well Im staying in a condo on Millionaires row on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach so hopefully they will be up and running and we still have a stadium entact! I really feel for you guys this hurricane stuff sucks a$$!

Hope all is safe down there. I will be flying down for the Falcons game and hope all is well down there. I know my hotel in Miami Beach is good because I called them and they said they have power. This is my first trip down there and I am taking my 8 year old son. I can't wait and to top it off, we get Marino's halftime ceremony.

All power will be restored to the entire area by November 22. However, most urban/suburban areas will have power well before then.

It is getting better by the day. Ft. lauderdale/Delray/Boca/lake worth got hit real bad, but id you are going to the game that won't matter to you. Miami is already recovering pretty well.

Thanks to everyone who posted on here! Im now offically pumped for this trip! Lets kick some fleur-de-lis a$$ this weekend and roll over the birds the next! If anyone has any opinions about clubs and nite life suggestions I'm open to that also!
Go Dolphins, here to a  new beginning.
