I need some Tivo/Direct t.v. help

I have twice now tried to tivo (that came free with my new D.T.V. dish) well in advance of the game the 1st time it was because I had to be at the hosptial-my boy was born the sat before the Denver game and this last weekend. All I get is about 6 hrs. of a white screen with the NFL logo saying I'm watching the Phins on Direct t.v. or some crap like that but no game. And it's the same channel the game is shown. So any help would be greatly appriciated. I REALLY don't want to talk to 21 people at Direct T.V. just to find out that I'm an Idiot. I'd rather find that out here! :D

I don't know about all areas, but in my local area, the Fins game was on local TV, therefore not on the ticket...also, there are two listings, I believe one starts at like 6:00 am and then the other is the actual game starting at 1:00pm (or 4 pm)...Be sure to record the correct one (obviously the 1 pm or 4pm time slot, not the 6 am slot...)

the game could have been braodcast nationaly in this case it would be on CBS or FOX on your local stations when u Tivo make sure its not on your local station first then u can Tivo on THE TICKET

Where do you live? It could be that the game was blacked out in your area. That's all I can think off.

Directv shows another listing of the game that is listed in the program guide at 4 or 6 AM depending on your time zone. Just make sure that you are recording the game that starts at game time, ie 1 or 4 pm est. Just do a search in Tivo for Miami Dolphins and it will show the correct listing as well as the directv ad's that start at 4 AM.

D-TV Sucks thats the kind of crap I got sick of dealing with Dish Network DVR is SO MUCH BETTER but no ticket

DTV is the next best thing to being there. It sounds like you either had the wrong time slot selected(mentioned above) or if you were in either markets the game would have been blacked out on the ticket. Which means you should have DVR it on Fox or CBS. Just to be safe, which i'm sure you did already just DVR something else now to make sure it's connected and working fine. Good luck and enjoy.
