I never do this kind of thread, but what about signing........

Pass guy weighs like 220 lbs, the rest he busted was because he couldn't keep the weight on.

I don't think we'd want to pick up his salary. Plus we are rumored to be very close to cap and doesn't look like Soliai deal is getting done anytime soon.
Maybin's 2011 salary is only $757,500. They could fit him in if they claim him off waivers.

i would claim him. never know what a change of scenery could do for him. looks like he would come cheap, and if he doesnt make it ohwell.

......Aaron Maybin. The Buffalo Bills just cut him today. He has been a monumental bust in the NFL so far in the same sort of realm as Vernon Gholston. But the idea of maybe trying to give this former 11th overall pick a rebirth is intriguing. The Dolphins could always use another 3-4 outside linebacker, so why not take a flyer on this guy? Just because you pick him up, doesn't mean you have to put him on the 53.

Also, adding another Penn State player to the roster would be awesome. Wake, Odrick, Shuler, Bracket, Devlin(played for Penn State) and maybe Maybin. Plus, wouldn't it be great if he did well here just so we could laugh at the Bills?

I don't see a problem with it. He was a huge bust in Buffalo, but if he clears waivers, I'd sign him for a trial. A minimum contract offer would be fair. Maybe Paul Soliai could talk to him about motivating his ***.

He spent a good chunk of last yea inactive on gameday. On the BILLS. Ill pass.

It was the Bills though, so you can't really make a full judgment. Maybin might be a total wash and be cut at the end of the preseason, but he is at least worth a look.

Heck, even if it is just to download information about Buffalo. Not that the Bills are a real threat, but if you can get some sort of extra edge, it is worth exploring.

I really wouldn't be opposed to a signing. See how he does with lessons from Wake and Bryan Cox. What is there to lose?

he is a situational pass rusher, nothing more nothing less. he sucks against the run (he did in college too). he may be small but the guy has a burst that you cant teach. maybe being around guys like wake and cox can motivate him and make him better.

Too light in the pants for our style of LB corp. But, I like the idea of bringing in Thaddeus Gibson for a look.
