When I first heard Philbin's first PC when he was hired. I was not inspired at all, he said all the right things but I wasn't ready to run out on the field for him. I posted back then what everyone thought and did he inspire anyone. This is not a "I told you so" post but so many posters here were gushing and replying that they were so inspired by him. Now I see post after post how uninspiring Philbin is when he speaks.

this is why I love this site

The NFL is QB and coaching league. RT is developing and is doing okay for 2nd year guy. However, Joe gives nothing competitively to help the Fins.

Its hard to believe a top ten pick in his second season is developing

A deep ball
Pocket awareness
Ball security

I thought Philbin was a good choice at the time but began to seriously worry after seeing him on hard knocks. Then his teams perpetually came out flat and looked underprepared. I also didn't like the good ole boy network by bringing in long time friend Mike Sherman. He failed in both the Nfl and college yet he gets another chance because they go way back. I had enough of that with Parcells. Now every game has the same pattern. We get a lead then the defense falls apart while the offense stalls in the second half. The entire coaching staff must go!

Is this sarcasm or ignorance?

Yup.

He was never great in high school, never great in college, and now we expect him to top 10 in the pros?

Sure he's improving, but towards what ceiling? That ceiling is not looking to high right now.

Sure he's made strides, but what are the bottom line results? They look the same to me.

Doesn't matter who coaches here or who plays here.

The fan boys will eat it all up and want seconds.

They'll defend all the crap in the world so long as there's a Dolphin logo on the empty heads of the dummies babbling.

Take it anyway you want.

Compare to what we have as far as this short passing offense that relies on playmakers for YACs and a QB to make plays:

Rodgers QB
Jennings WR
James Jones WR
Donald Driver WR
Jordy Nelson WR

We simply do not have the horses to fully realize this offense.
