You don't choose the team you love... The team chooses you.

Everyone has different reasons for being a Phin fan... Father, brother loving the team before them... Living locally... great stories of meeting players... Identification with/Affinity for said players... Hell some might love them because they have an orange stripe on their pants. etc etc etc... It's personal to each and every one.

Maybe if you took the time to remember why you started to love the team in the first place (for 38 freaking years) you would not be so quick to leave them. I can't remember anyone telling me they woke up one day and said 'Today I will become a Dolphins fan'... Well actually yes I do but they were women. If you ever had passion for the sport or the team you would never give up on them.

Remember... It's surviving the absolute Sh** times that make the good times that much sweeter... How much fun are they having in Detroit right now?

I suggest everyone take a date and time stamped pic of yourself in a Phins jersey right now... Just so you don't get accused of being a band wagoner when the time comes...

You're not giving up on the Dolphins. You'll be right here next year when we get Luck.

no one on here is a bandwagoner.

as to the people who may call me a band wagoner in a few years when we are good again, screw them, i love the fins to death, and have only been a fan of them during tough times, never got to enjoy the good times.

You people take this game far too seriously. It's just a game. Next year will be a better year.

For those of you feeling bad today and everyday about the dolphins, I suggest checking out America's Game 1972 Dolphins on hulu. It made me feel better to watch it and to see what this team is missing. Nobody cares, Nobody has each other's back today, its sad.

Well said. Come on people, we lived through a 1-15 season (would have been 0-16 if not for one Camarillo catch). Don't watch the games if it makes you this crazy, go on hiatus until the offseason. I myself will still watch every game but with no expectations to win.

Why do some people feel the need to announce they are no longer a fan of the team and that they will no longer post on the forum?

Nobody cares, so just gtfo and do it quietly. Us real fans dont need your lame resignation letter.

Do they really think anyone will notice thier absence?

youre just another fart in the wind...

I like the idea of renouncing only in terms of going to games and buying merchandise. As a fan you have no other meaningful way to voice displeasure over a teams performance and actions. Quiting fandom and message boards do zilch. It is all pointless at this point, the team is too far gone, Ross will have to fire sparano, some of the players will be let go and hopefully Ireland is shown the door. Ireland is the only change that i worry Ross will not possibly not make- he should have dez's mother give him a call to remind him what we could have drafted as one example.

So next year if we get Luck are you going to try and crawl back on board??? I hate fairweather fans. Stick with the team through the bad, it makes winning that more enjoyable.

Just don't come back when Cowher and Luck began the decade plus long Dolphins dynasty. The bandwagon will already be full

Your a life long fan who was pissed when Ricky quit. Mad as hell at that trader Sabin. Discussed with Cam's 1 and 15 and now endure a team and management that has most of it's fan's wanting to lose for a high draft pick. Will you be rooting for this team in the future no matter what ?

Yes indeed.
