I did the same thing and I got much support from some and creamed by others. People who did give me grief were upset around the notion that I put out there that Saban needs to get his act together. I was SPOT on. Saban, quite frankly gets an F for getting it through to his players that there NFL career was on the line - that the season was on the line - their reputations were on the line. It was all out there and Saban failed us.
I love Saban and all the hope and good sense he has brought to this franchise. But to me the loss falls squarely on his shoulders. Picks, fumbles all over the place by us that they recovered, by them that the recovered, penalties, mental errors galoure. Sorry Saban that is on you.
At one point in the first half I told my wife that the Dolphins are playing so bad that it is making me pine for the bad old Dumbstadt days - now that's pathetic!
I know the Dolphins SO well. And I knew that we were very vulnerable for a game that would end in our self-destruction. But to do it now in such terrible, and comprehensive fashion against such a poor opponent is reprehensible. We were not prepared coach. How long is it gonna take? And I know this for sure we will all look back to this game at the end of the season and want it back badly. This was our make or break game and Nick got us broke!
