1. O.K. this is not a Penny bash but I must admit that the only play that went down the field was the Pat White throw.. and on this throw, Ginn proved he could blow past the defenders. Penny can not get the ball to our WR's when they get to top speed and that is the truth.
2. Penny can not scramble and today he really needed to have that ability.
3. Phillip Merling was just awesome.
4. The play calling was bad.. we could run the ball well but after getting momentum we would bring out the wildcat or some other stupid play. "If its not broke...dont fix it" the running game was working.
5. If I see Pat White on the field before Chad Henne again, I will truly consider it disrespectful to all of us. Henne should step in if Penny is not on his A-game, not Pat white, wildcat or not.
6. The team had 0 intensity even during warm-ups. I sat on the front row taking picks and calling out to some of the players and they all had the look of uncertainty on their faces.

7. I live in Atlanta and the turn out was amazing for Fin-nation... about 1/3 or more of the stadium was Dolphans.. so there was a lot of support for our team and we were all in disbelief.

8. Our defense has been better than our offense for too freakin long... period. I love them but we must get an offense that gives them the rest that they deserve!

9. Props to the Falcons, they came out full of energy and never stopped. They will make the playoffs this year and the dolphins will be working on the draft and still deciding when to let Henne get some experience, I am sorry to say that we are in deep this year and if Penny is leaving the why not let us see if Henne or White are as good as Matt Ryan.... That boy can throw the peel.

Nice post. You hit the nail on the head with #6. We looked flat all day. Falcons brought it from the get-go and never let up.

I agree, I only saw energy on the defensive side of the ball, offense and special teams still looked like they were in preseason mode

I must admit with Pat White, that whether you agree with him playing ahead of Henne or not, it was exciting to see him fling the ball down the field. We never see that with Penny. To me, this is the biggest weakness of our offense. We need to be able to threaten deep and I wish, whether Henne or White, would get in there full time and begin stretching defenses.

What was exciting about that? There are dozens of QB's on the street right now who could overthrow an open receiver by ten yards.

Matt, I agree with you I just think that Henne has more under his belt for the time being but man I will tell you this.. when I saw that ball fly out of Whites hand I was so excited. So, whomever it is, we just need a deep game or our o-line is going to start getting injured.

I think it is exciting being a Dolphin fan and finally seeing overthrows from our QB as opposed to short passes. I agree with many on these forums that it is a little refreshing to see the deep ball.

Yea im pretty sure overthrowing a receiver is not a vaunted quality.

Sharp, I understand its just one game but it is also the same problems that we have had for the last 4-5 years and you know that the QB is our biggest area that help is needed. I am sick of the grooming stage, get groomed on the field just like Tom Brady in his first year.... remember how he performed? it is not talked about because he is so good today, but he had a rough first year.

I agree with no. 4

i thought the wildcat offense distracted of the rhythm of our base offense.

I was at the game as well here in Atlanta. It was a great turn out for fins fans. I agree with most of the points as well. Noodle arm sucks and it so apparent seeing it live and in person how pathetic our QB situation is. Ginn was open for that pass from White that off a few yards and it was the only threat downfield we had all day. Very sad.
