I saw

Go find another sport to watch because you obviously don't know anything about how an offense is suppose to run. Ain't no runningback in the history of this league can take on 7 on their own; not Jim Brown not Walter Payton and not Ricky Williams in his prime could do it.

Wrong!!!!!!

I saw a Veteran LB wearing the number 99 screw us out of two points and an extra possession.. along with that oline getting tossed around like rag dolls.

I just watched again that Gates "drop". The ball was a little underthrown and to the inside. Plus the Safety was coming in to pop C Gates.

This shows that Chad Henne is still not accurate and (if you watch the games well) you see defenses more and more respecting C Gates's speed. One reason he has not made a number of plays is that he is always being doubled covered. The Bucs I'm sure saw last week when C Gates not only beat the corner, he flew past the safety, twice.

And A Fasano looks great

Holy cr*p!!! You must be the #1 Henne Hater or a Patsy or Jest troll!! You should be in Dave Chapelle's Hater's Ball. Or maybe Henne stole your girlfriend in high school. Whatever your reason, Henne was 10/13 with no ints and a TD. What more do you want. He outplayed Josh Freeman this game by a landslide. Joshy was barely over 50% completion percentage. And that pass to Gates was pretty close to on the money. Don't make excuses for the rook. He should have caught that ball or at least made a better effort thaan he did.

Now if the offense fails Henne about 20 more times, they will be even.

Barry Sanders did it his entire career.
the guy is the career leader in lost yards...we all know the highlights, and I think he was the best RB ever...but let's not act like he always got positive yards...

How about 13 carries for -1 yard against GB?

It most certainly WAS accurate enough for a veteran, pro WR. GATES should've caught that ball. I don't know what League YOU are talking about, but this is the NFL, and not "Pop Warner". WRs are paid bigbucks to make that catch. And HENNE's throw was plenty good enough. Take your inane anti-HENNE "spin" elsewhere.

If--repeat, IF--GATES continues to develop as a WR, he'll make that catch in the future. If not, then he's not really upper echelon...just fast.

Let me be clearer. I said he played against seven or more in the box his entire career. Dont add your thoughts to my post. Nowhere did I mention he gained positive yards every carry.

But because Barry Sanders once posted a statline like reggies.... Reggie is Barry Sanders!!!!!

wait a second.. did i miss something?

where did football logic go around here?

I SAW: 1. A 60 yd TD pass to Marshall, 2. A QB with a 143 rating 3. Improved tempo by the offense 4. No mistakes and only progress from our new Center
5. Nice audibles by our QB

No that's not what you said...you said "Barry Sanders did it his entire career" in response to a RB having to take on the entire front 7 all by himself...you do realize that running against 7 or 8 in the box, which is what you said now, isn't the same thing as taking on the entire front 7 by yourself, which is what was said earlier?

And the Lions ran the Run and Shoot, defenses couldn't stack the LOS...they had to respect the passing offense.

Let me be clearerererrereree. I never mention anything about Barry Sanders yardage. When you played Detroit you stop Barry Sanders. No one cared who the other skilled positions were or what system they ran on offense. Besides that David Sloan was the TE in Detroit from 95 til 98 when I think Sanders retired. If my memory servers me correct the Run and shoot does not use a TE. Tommy Vardell started at FB for the Lions Sanders last year in the league. If my memory servers me correct the Run and Shoot does not use a FB. 1 against 11 stop Barry beat the Lions. 13 carries for -1 yard only helps make my point stop Sanders beat the Lions.

It's preseason baby. Shaking off the rust. I am on a lot of message boards and let me tell you, no team's fans are confident in their team's performance thus far this preseason. Pay no attention to it.
