My observations..

I'll say it again, anyone who blames Thill or doesn't think he has it is lost and you should go back to sleep. Did you watch the first half WHEN THE OL gave him time? He threw long passes all over the place and the talentless receivers dropped TDs all day. He was asked to step up and he answered. His 2 picks were not dumb picks, one bounced off an interference call that wasn't called and one ball just sailed too much. One thing I like about Thill, he doesn't throw dumb picks.

As we all know it's gonna be OL, LB heavy for us in the draft. Gotta get a big receiver or seam busting TE also.

Coyle has to go, if Joe is survives does he have the balls to do it? I just don't see anything redeeming of retaining him

We need so much in the offseason, I'm not one of the believers that we have a lot talent all over the place. WE NEED PLAYMAKERS OFFENSE AND DEFENSE.

If we were close I might be ok riding another Philbin season out, but we are farther away than we thought. For the sake of our sanity maybe we should blow this thing up. Get a big name in here and ride it out. I don't see Philbin ever getting another HC job.

I love what Miller is doing, he just like Thill just needs better OL help. However we do need a bruising back in this offense. I'm a big fan of getting a quality TE and putting Clay back at FB. How sweet would it be having him catching screens out of the backfield? Would be a better weapon in my opinion.

And you guys who want Rex as our HC......please just go away and troll a Game of Thrones forum or something. You must be jet fans in disguise.

Lazor....this guy can coach a QB, and I'm never one to constantly call out play calling, but this guy sucks the life out of a stadium trying to play call. Thill completes a bomb downfield and we run on 3rd and long??? I don't know.

Whoever the trainer is......get rid of him. The injuries may not be his fault but I don't care, we just need to fire someone if Joe doesn't get canned.

This team has a fragile psyche, that is a reflection of Head Coaching. Not a Harbagh fan because he comes with a short expiration date, but it's clear we need a coach who inspires players and injects them with a kill at all cost attitude. I don't know who it is but we need to find him.

I agree with you that we still need more playmakers, that Coyle has not performed well, that Tannehill is our best chance for the next five years, and that Miller played well. I would add Landry, Wallace, and Clay to the list of player that did well.

I disagree that firing Philbin would not set us back. I believe firing Philbin will kill any chance of us making the playoffs in the next three years. I just do not see an available coach that I believe would outperform Philbin. The key word is available.

I don't know, I was watching a few Auburn games this past year and their HC, Malzahn I think is his name, well I noticed during those games he managed the team and clock very well in crunch times before the half and at the end of games. He was impressive with his decisions. I hear he's a good coach so I'm not against hiring a college guy. We just need to do our homework

How can you say that about hiring Rex? He took the jets to the AFC championship twice with Mark dirty Sanchez as their QB. Rex would turn our defense into a top 5 in his first year. We would be aggressive and he would utilize the talent that we do have and do a much better job of masking our weaknesses. I would love Rex as our coach IF we keep Lazor as our O coordinator. I'm really not sure what you have against Rex Ryan. at the moment I hate him because he is the Jets coach but I would love that punk as the Dolphins head coach. He would bring the main ingredient this team lacks to South Florida, attitude. Our team has no heart and that guy is all heart. Also players love to play for the man. I hope we do hire him so that you would have to eat crow next year. As much as I've despised him the last 5 or 6 years I would instantly love him if he was our coach. Honestly I think that I would rather have him over Harbaugh. Can't believe I am saying that but there is something not right with Harbaugh. Can you ever remember a coach that in 4 seasons went to the NFC championship 3 times, the Super Bowl once and was then let go by their team? That is a major red flag. Also, if we hired Harbaugh Lazor would be gone. No way that a offensive minded guy like Harbaugh keeps Lazor. They run totally different offenses. I think that for T-Hills sake we need to keep Lazor. He, by far has his best season this year under Lazor and I am confident we will be leaps and bounds better in his second year under Lazor. I am all for Ryan as our head coach and keep Lazor as OC/assistant head coach. You're free to have your opinion but I don't understand why you feel the need to bash people that think Ryan would improve this team.

Dude, I live in NY. Believe me this guy is bad. Hire him as a DC, I'm ok, not HC. He totally ignores the offense, can't groom a QB and left his QB hanging in the wind. His defense at the time got him to the AFC title games but they didn't have much else. He's so stubborn that all he thinks he needs is Defense. They roast him up here. Yes, the players love him, THE DEFENSIVE PLAYERS that is. Not the offensive players. He's also the one who wanted to hire Sparano after he showed himself to the league he can't coach. Don't want his circus in Miami. And his defense as far as I'm concerned sucks. It's only good if they get to the QB with blitzes, his D doesn't bring heat with their front four. Kinda like what we have here in Miami already, no pass rush. That's what I got against him. Not to mention he's a bafoon and embarrasses his organization with his mouth constantly.

You're observations about Thill are right on! When he has time he is very effective. I just hope he doesn't get discouraged or injured before the end of the season. Luv the Priest lyrics. Defenders is their BEST album.

Even if Philbin wins his last two games I think it's better than 50% he's gone at the end of the season.

Pretty nice summary. I agree with a lot of your points.

QB: T-hill now has 10,597 passing yards and moved into 7th place all time (passed Garcia and Bledsoe) for most passing yards for a player in their first three seasons. He's shown improvement this year but I'll be curious to see if he finishes strong or allows this team to quit on us. We've got a really tough call coming up on T-hill's extension. He's got one more off season to earn that $$$ so he better work hard in the offseason.

Draft: No question top priorities for me are OL and LB. Need that big possession WR or TE as well. Would probably be smart to draft a mid round QB for insurance.

Roster: Lot of over-rated and high salary players who think they're better then what they are. Attitude of this team has to change and both players AND coaches need to be held accountable. If you make a mistake you sit. If you make the same mistake again you're CUT. There's just no consequences so who cares if you drop a ball? Who cares if we lose a game today because there's always next week? This team needs to take a refresher class in "Shula-nomics 101". Accountability has been lacking with this team for too long now.

Coaching: Unless we lose the next 2 games I predict Philibin stays and Coyle will be the scapegoat (if we lose the next two then EVERYONE is gone). Going into this season I stated that I wasn't a Philibin fan and there were only two coaches that I would have replaced him with (Jay Gruden and Lovie Smith). Those two coaches are a combined (5-23) this year so I guess "Ross knows best" after all; KUDOS to him. As much as I hate Philibin and his coaching methods I would not change HC unless that candidate was a definite upgrade. There will be a lot of competition for head coaches next year and a lot of teams are going to be reaching. Not sure if I want to get into that mix.
