Man oh man, where to start.

I would OFFICIALLY like to start by saying that I have indeed doubted my boys all season long while trying to examine the bigger picture or at least what I THOUGHT it was. I think I was just so fed up with what has been happening since the last time I saw kenneth davis and thurman thomas run screen plays against us in the AFC championship game in '92..

That being said, one thing for certain....THESE GUYS HAVE HEART. TS has singlehandedly shown our boys how to win a game. It is utterly amazing how quickly our guys have come together and not let momentum during the game when we are down just do us in like the past decade and before that.

There are so many thoughts running through my head right now but here are a few that I can get out while they race around.

The two best things hands down we did this year was get Pennington and the deal to get fasano/odeyle from the 'boys for a STEAL. These guys (fasano and pennington) have been severely instrumental in where we are today.

Jake long as our first pick in the draft was the RIGHT thing for us to do. He has been amazing this year and should be in the probowl. He is money in the bank for 10 years at least IMO.

Devon Bess was an amazing find. The guy, while not having the size to be a number one or two, is going to be a tremendous asset, even more so when we get camarillo back. Let's jetison wilford and roll next year with these three guys.

Porter was a great pickup but he concerns me because can dissapear in big games. I was hoping he would get on favre today. Kudos to the jets for keeping us off favre for most of the game. Porter did shield favre's view allowing us to get that crucial pick at the end of the game.

Ricky Williams still has about half a tank. He may not be able to break the tackles he could in the past but the second move through a crease or hole is BETTER than ronnie brown. The guy simply still has that second gear.

Us getting CP was the greatest thing we could have ever done. Sure we have to "protect" his arm at times and we could have NEVER predicted he would have brought us to an AFC champtionship, however I do believe that chad henne is going to be our qb of the future and having henne as CP's understudy is EXACTLY what we have needed. I don't want to see CH for another year or two. He needs to ride the pine and LEARN the game. He has a great mentor.

Phillip Merling/Langford are going to be serious bookends for this team. Merling for a rookie made one HELL of a read and had the agility and athleticism to make that play. Unreal.

While we may not beat baltimore, there is nothing that can be taken away from the effort and most the chemistry that these guys have. We even had a ted ginn sighting today that was very instrumental in us winning the game with that move for the td in the corner of the endzone. Big time receivers (he hasn't proven anything yet) make those kind of plays regardless if they actually did push off or not. He did what he had to do and is SLOWLY coming around. Hopefully next year he will get even better.

That being said, I cried at the end of the game. I cried because there was such a tremendous feeling of accomplishment. I was listening to sirius today and PK and the boys were talking about the fact that everyone was predicting the lions to be better than us this year. You could tell after greg broke up the seam against the ravens last year and scored that TD, how that single game had a huge impact on our organization. The guys wanted it BAD, they just didn't know how to obtain it. Now they do.

Regardless of what we do next week, there can be ZERO knocking on this club. Sure ricky may not have caught that ball or hill/allen/thomas/bell or whomever may have been in pad positions during this game to allow guys to "sit" on a route and get a catch they couldn't have, BUT when the clock struck ZERO, we had the bigger number on the scoreboard.

I have in the past, really knocked the guys for this. Accused them of not finishing. Well they finished today. Hell we even blocked a punt. When was the last time we did that?

Finally I can say for us that it is really good to be a dolphins fan. Not that going from 1-15 to at least a .500 season doesn't have its merit. It does. However if you didn't shed a tear when the clock read 00:00, I dunno what to tell you.

Oh and what was up with Favre running off the field. To me that is classless as it comes.

I didnt shed a tear, as it's just grown men playing a sport. But I did get a bit emotional thinking of the frustration of previous years. No tears though.

So it all evens out I guess.

By the way, F The Jets !!!

WOOOOOOT !!!

Well, I don't know if you got to see any of the post-game interview with Favre or not, but this is a guy who looks absolutely miserable. I've felt since day one that he wasn't completely in love with the idea of playing for the Jets. In fact, his very first presser in NY, he seemed to look in doubt over whether or not he made the right call to come back. He never exuded the excitement that he should have shown coming to a new team. Today, he seemed to almost have tears in his eyes, and I believe he may now regret his decision to un-retire and pursue the trade to NY. Time will tell, but he doesn't look like the man that used to have a real fire burning to play football.

Hindsight being 20/20...he should have taken that HUGE sack of cash that GB ownership offered him to STAY retired.

What a selfish SOB to not even congratulate Pennington, I guess he was really embarassed and just wanted to get the hell out of there and retire in peace!:boohoo::woot:

I have to disagree with you saying "Porter disappears in big games." The man is being game planned against, he's being double-teames, sometimes doubled-teames and then chipped by running backs. When teams are putting that much focus on him, we should be getting pressure from somewhere else. That is our BIGGEST problem on defense; we don't have anyone else who can pressure the QB.

But I agree with everything else you said...

While that is true, the true game breakers find a way to get it done. I was dissapointed that porter didn't even sniff favre today and he was not always getting double teamed.

Next week is another week. If porter doesn't get to flacco often and at least make him get rid of the ball sooner than he wants too, I fear it will be a very long day...even in our own back yard...

He let clemens (sp?) congratulate him. Favre should have done the upstanding thing and shook hands with sparano and CP and shot the crap and then went to the locker room. The guy is one of the best qb's to ever play the game. His legacy doesn't rest on this one game, nor should this game ever come up in that conversation.

Nobody thought we would beat Baltimore last year when we were winless and we took care of that. Too bad Camarillo cannot suit up next week.

Yea i feel for the guys who made this team good with thier HUGE hearts. Like Camarillo & smiley both played really well. Cant wait till next week.
