He just said, "It was certainly a mistake for Miami to have passed on Brady Quinn."

Gee Mike, is that because Brady Quinn made the Pro-Bowl last year?

Mr. Beck . . . I hope you are listening to all these mofo's who think you don't exist . . . please prove them wrong this year.
 
its because he is such a damn good commercial actor... Better than anyone we have on our roster
 
these guys say what they want! they have their own oppinions. only things that matters is what is said on the field. as of right now brady quinn is no better than john beck, or visa versa. we shall see in a few months!

At this point he knows more about Losing weight than he does about football. That is an uneducated statement. Brady hasnt done a thing and Ginn has shown a ton of potential. Im with ya buddy.

True, but if we drafted Quinn we wouldnt be talking about drafting a QB in the second round..... Ginn was a reach yes..... good player yes,,, worth number nine NO

Jake Long will produce right from the start like a true top 10 drafted player

as for beck and quinn ... so far beck has done nothing but neither has quinn
 
I like Golic, he has his opinion just like everyone else, so what if he reps a player from his alma mater, everyone does it and what sports annalysis say is just opinions thats it.

With that said I agree Beck and Quinn havent proven anything yet and while I dont hate Golic, he does make some dumb remarks. :)
 
What is with all the love for Quinn anyway? he was terrible in college...choked in every big game Notre Dame ever played in and padded his stats and looked like Superman against the Armys and Bowling Greens of the world.
 
Agreed, he's an idiot. But sometimes he's a little bit less of an idiot than Greenberg, so I usually don't listen at all.

I don't really know how good Quinn is, but after I was shocked we didn't take him last year when he fell into our laps, I watch some ND games I had lying around. Not that BQ sucks, but he threw a ton of crappy passes and Jeff Samarja usually saved his bacon. I kind of felt like I was watching Montana's pass to Dwight Clark over and over again. I wish JS had been in the draft.

It could be worse...... Quinn may have done worse and we'd be crying that we just reached for M.Ryan and C.Nicks would be our RT.
 
Um....Honestly, it was a mistake not drafting Quinn. You all can comment on what a pretty boy he is, he is in all commercials, he was a baby during the draft, he hasnt done anything ever in the NFL, etc. etc.
This much I know if we drafted Quinn last year, we wouldn't be talking about drafting another QB this year. Then again, we probably wouldn't have BP in the FO.

Just because we wouldn't talk about drafting another QB . . . doesn't mean Quinn would have been the answer. I know we DEFINITELY would be talking about taking a WR early . . . and probably complaining how we need an explosive returner.

People are unreasonable with their expectations . . . when I hear people say Beck isn't the answer from what they saw last year . . . I just gotta laugh . . . we saw Beck in preseason . . . we know the kid has the goods . . lets surround him with more than shaky TE's, backup RB, a shaky OLine and a horrible defense. Our best 2 best players on offense last year were ROOKIES (Satele and Ginn) . . . that says enough about the shape of the team.
