I Still Stand By My Comment on AJ!!!

Last year I was one of the biggest anti Feeley supporters. Stating that I just didn't think he was any good, and that we wouldn't win many games with AJ at QB, BUT that I had hoped I was wrong. I took much heat/criticism for these comments, and nearly everybody called me a liar when I said I hoped I was wrong, and that it was just a cop out in case he worked out and played well. Well it appears as though AJ IS NOT our guy, and that he won't pan out, but I still wish I was wrong about him. It still would have been the best thing for the team to have a young QB already on the roster to catch fire and be our starting QB for a long time. All I want is for Miami to WIN, and if that means I have to be wrong about every opinion I have on these players then LET ME BE WRONG!!!! Go Fins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AJ feeley sucks. you arent the only one who hated him. Personally, i said i wanted fiedler over him and got flamed for that.

I know this, and it's exactly where I thought he'd be right now, but the point is that soooooo many people jumped on the guys that didn't like AJ and didn't think he'd work out calling us all kinds of names and saying we knew "Nothing" about football, when it was just merely our opinion. I'm just trying to say that it would have been nice if AJ worked out, but we should not have gotten ridiculed just for saying that we didn't think he would.

I still like AJ, but Gus is the QB and that's who I'm behind right now. If AJ gets a chance again, I'll be excited too. I still think he's a good QB waiting to happen, but for now it's a moot point.

too bad you missed this thread, you wouldn't have to beg for acknowledgement now, you could have gotten it when it was offered.

I think we all agree that AJ sucks, but I agree that it would have been good to see him succeed simply because he is young. Even if Frerotte lights it up he can't be playing too much longer.

This is exactly where I am at. Gus is our QB and as long as he plays well and shows he is worthy of being the starter, then I am fine with him. It does not change that I think AJ is going to be a solid starter for someone when given a chance (and he wasn't here, just like Griese wasn't).

But I support our players.

I mean I do not want to get into this in depth, but the guy had one bad preseason game. It happens. Gus had two or three.

All that matters now is Gus is the starter. No need to desicrate AJ because he isn't starting.
