they lost in the final min today, but i love his fire. we need a player friendly coach, and a guy with fire like him. i wont mind cower or gruden, but i think the best route will to get a new guy. rob is on the top of my list followed by Pete Carmichael Jr. but ross just wants to put butts in the seats so gruden or cower will probly be the coach. cower i wouldnt mind but i think we need a fresh face, thats just my opinion
 
He's too much like his brother. A loose cannon who risks losing control of the locker room. I'd rather stay away. I do think he's a great defensive coordinator though....but for head coach I'll pass.
 
I hate the bombastic tone, but he owns Brady.

I think we definitely need a new coach, but I think you're overestimating the value of "fire."
 
One of the issue with both the ryan is you need a OC to run the offense. they are D.C and not H.C.

I just want to throw a name out there that I have yet to notice any mention of here on this board. I am not saying I am sold on him but it is a thought. What do you guys thing about:

That name has been hashed out on this board a million times. He has done nothing in this league, not even a top 10 defense. You and everyone else want him because his last name is Ryan...which is ironic when you consider how crappy the Jets are coached this year.

I have to listen to that ***-hat every once in awhile here in Dallas.

The guy is borderline retarded and can't complete a sentence without cussing. He speaks in very fragmented english as it is.

Agreed with Matt, not just no, but HELL-NO!!!!
 
The man has not even fielded a top 10 defense and you want to take a long shot on him because he has "fire"? So our team that has sucked for 20 years, should be put in the hands of a guy who has never lead a franchise, never had success at his position, never even coached on a championship team, because he yells and carrys on? Are you really willing to take that gamble? I know his name is "Ryan" but how many Playoff games did his daddy win? How are the Jets doing this year behind brother Rex?

Come on man...

This would be the bone head move of the century. You want fire get a PROVEN head coach with fire like Gruden or Cowher.

How many times has rex lost a locker room in his career?

Don't confuse losing 3 straight road games against teams that are a combined 13-4 to mean he lost a LR. This team has ha da million controversies the last couple of years and they always seem to overcome.
