My ? Does Anyone Think He Could Still Play?
He had a pinched nerve I do believe which limited his throwing. also before that injury, he had won offensive player of the week 2x (I think) so he was on fire before the injury.I think he could do a Steve DeBerg (coming back 4 years after retirement in 1998) with the Falcons at about 44-45 years old. It would have to be as a backup / mentor. Maybe come in with 2 min., run shotgun or whatever.
The problem his last season was his arm was hurt. I would think his arm would be healed by now.
In limited action, yes. Otherwise no. And I doubt Danny would even entertain such notions.
Bottom line is that Flutie, Testaverde, etc... can have jobs right now if they wanted. There's no reason Marino couldn't do so either as a backup.
I love these threads, seen grown man whine about how they miss Dan, how we should have kept Zach so on so forth. Get a grip and grow a pair. Those guy eventually get old and have to be replace, its a shame that our draft have been so bad we haven't had any replacement.
Dude...you're 18. You never got to see Dan in his prime. A QB like Dan is a one in a lifetime for a franchise.
Because of the rules.A Manning or Brady isn't what a
Marino,Montana,Elway or even Kelly were in the early
80's.Those were QB's of legends.
