now there are reports of him maybe starting the season...i still think he will start against the vikings. i dont think he is as "sore" as they say he is. i know saban is good at smoke screens and keeping things on a tight lid. this could very well be a smokescreen to suprise everyone. just a thought

doubtful. why would Saban put out a smoke screen about something that has nothing to do with a gameplan at this point? either Daunte is in uniform and the defenses plan for him, or he isnt and they dont. teams gameplan on a week by week basis, so unless you are saying that this is a ploy for this week then i doubt it. it just doesnt make sense.

Defense's gameplan are gonna stay the same regardless: blitz, blitz, blitz.

I think he is. I fully believe that if Daunte was ready, Saban would have him in there. Harrington has been as bad - or worse - than anybody we had last year.

I personally think its time to see Daunte, right now! The o-line has been performing alot better and the running game just got on track against the best defense in the NFL.

Joey's has made some very bad decisions which have left me scratching my head. Accuracy is also very poor and the deep ball sucks. None of which Daunte does.

If he is mobile enough and can make faster reads I say the time is now.

i think its more to keep DC spirts up,he doesnt want to put DC on IR because DC may throw a fit and not continue to rehab the right way.

DC isn't coming back this season there is no chance of that happening.

Personally I think it's a smokescreen hoping that Joey plays exceptionally well so that end of the season we can say Harrington's our QB and get a decent trade for Daunte. However I fully believe if Joey doesn't play exceptionally well we will see Daunte come the end of the season just to see where we stand and at that point if he doesnt play well it's anyone's guess what happens.

i.e. trying to make the best of a bad situation.

I really don't care who is the QB as long as the Dolphins keep on winning....let's get on a roll.:D :dolphins:

I agree, the "soreness" is just an excuse to keep him on the bench.

Harrington would have to become Manning overnight for us to get any trade value for Culpepper. Daunte has like no trade value at all, since we traded for him.

So how many acl/mcl/pcl tears have you rehabbed from to know that "soreness" is just an excuse?

will everyone PLEASE STOP with the saban masterful smoke screen
crap!!! the man does NOT smoke screen, in fact, one look at his
recent drafts will tell you the man has NO poker face, no smoke screen,
no mojo.

the only thing he DOES do well is song and dance. doesnt ANYONE remember
duante saying over and over after his benching that his knee felt fine, no
swelling, no pain. now we are back to the knee excuse out finz land!!

duante is NOT getting his job back, thankfully. i was NEVER a joey fan, but
he is at least throwing td's. yes, he gets an int, but he scores and doesnt get sacked every other play.

you really want to go back to imobile, sacked, no td duante?

what for?

Yeah, I think if we were REALLY in the AFC East race then he would do things like that, and if Culpepper was actually good enough to win us any games as well, but since niether is true....
