I think I know why Ireland drafted Kaddu, dude can gat after the QB!

Any chance he plays DE or is he strictly OLB? Was he an OLB is a 3-4 at Oregon?
 
He looks field ready, nice pressure off the edge, both him and wake.
 
from what ive read he also covers TE's well so he is diverse to handle both important tasks.

I have no idea, but he's 6-3 238 and coming out of college Cameron Wake was 6-3 233. It's not at all inconceivable he'll be able to get up to the same size Wake is now (250lbs). I couldn't tell you whether Kaddu is strong enough to play a role similar to Wakes though.
 
He has the speed and size for a hybrid defense. We'll see if he has the strength to shed blockers at the NFL level. At worst, we get a ST player and situational pass rusher. Good pick by Ireland in the 5th!!!

yea he can cover TE's too, he will be used primarily on passing downs to either blitz off the edge or cover a TE until he can bulk up to maybe 245-250 and eventually become a full time OLB
 
I tend to think he'll be a WLB to start with, and if he bulks up, then he may end up at DE eventually.
 
this dude needs to tackle better, he's tackling way to high with no leverage, but he looks like he's got some potential
 
Sounds like he's more of a cover guy than a pass rusher. I heard an interview with him and he said one of his strengths was covering TEs and he said he can run with anybody. When asked about pass rushing he said he's pretty raw and has to work on it but has a "natural ability".
 
When everyone was crying for a WR in the fifth Round, Ireland draft this beast instead. Very dynamic player.
 
Oregon were a damn good team last year.

This guy was the second Oregon Duck off the board (behind LaMichael James) which tells me a lot about this guy. He can definitely play.
