Bell, while being able to lay the wood on someone, couldn't intercept a ball if his momma literally walked past him and tossed it into his hands with glue on them. Seriously...it gets annoying to see him drop so many damn easy picks for YEARS...

While it's easy to say that I wished we had a game changing safety on our team like Ed Reed or Troy Polamalu, those are things that most teams would dream about. Seriously though. Buy a damn jugs machine or something and learn how to catch a ball....

The problem is that for YEARS its been the same song and dance with him. He can get into position but damn the guy cannot catch a ball. He made a great break and read on that freeman pass on the first drive and it should have been an easy pick but he couldn't reel it in. I saw some balls that would have been great interceptions by Davis and Smith but IIRC those balls were short hopped or tipped away from them. The ball to Bell was something he set up perfectly for himself. Same song and dance. The guy has Will Allen stone hands....

The ball that Misi got his hand on was a tipped ball that was attempted to throw over his head to the TE. He made a damn good play to shadow the TE by looking at the qb's head and eyes and made a really good play on that ball. Also corners are going to get their hands on quite a few balls, much more than safeties usually. However again Bell gift wrapped himself a pick and as usual he couldn't bring it in. IMO, he should gain some weight and change to a linebacker. We need more dynamic safeties and have for awhile.

I'm confident they will start to hang on at some point this year. However, it's amazing in the number passes dropped that should be easy interceptions.

Once again, both of our corners had chances to come down with picks and didn't do it. Yes, these weren't balls hitting right off their hands, but good defenses and great defenders with a killer instinct don't let these passes hit the ground.

Bell's play was also just embarrassing.
